I first learned about 소녀시대
when one of my friends proceeded to say EWWW SNSD!

My guy friend and I decided it would be LOL-y
to annoy the crap out of her by singing "snsd - girls' generation"
which she extremely dislike (she's a fob, aka moved to USA from Korea).

Oh and I was on a random Korean site and saw this image
with a white background and all these random colored bubbles with girls.

Little did I know that I was on my path to an amazingly rewarding fandom.

So I watched the MV, and my eyes lit up at the pure cutesy-ness of it!
For the longggggggest time, I would listen to SNSD - Kissing You to bed
haha I loved that song so much.........

And I remember the girls going through such tough times, especially Tiffany
with her "lousy" manners back in 2008ish. Where Wondergirls were on top,
pwning SNSD left and right (sigh I hated this...)
[actually I was a fan of the Wondergirls before SNSD, and now my adulation for WG has turned into scoffs and grunts of displeasure towards WG :/ can't help ittttt]

But after WG left for America ...which is where I live lol, I jumped for joy
and knew that SNSD would soon embark on the journey to greatness!
With their teaser posters unleashed in Seoul, fans were intrigued and
people were known to have taken them, for their own little spazzing about. haha
And soon, SNSD had a comeback, and gosh. SUCH a memorable comeback.
From the MV to the skinnies, to the HAIR to the MAKEUP!
so much had changed, and the girls winning awards left and right,
I was so F∪CKING DAMN PROUD OF MY GIRLS.

EVEN NOW.
But so many became their friends after Gee & Genie and idk about Oh! haha
but holy fυck. I am so proud of my girls, and back then, with Kissing You,
I was even afraid to say that I was a S<3NE.

Now? I'm not. Of course I'm not.
