Well hello there, my fellow sones!
How nice of you to take a look at my 'About Me' Page.

Let me begin with telling you my real name.
It's Ellen; It means 'Shining light' or 'Bright Light', and it comes from the name Eleanor.


Now let me first explain my username here;
MimiOnigiri

Since my friends and I love Japan, we decided to give ourselfs a Japanese name.
Mine was Michiko; meaning ' child of beautiful wisdom'

So my nickname being Mimi ;D

Onigiri is Japanese food OwO
And I just think it's wonderful how cute onigiri's can be if you give them a little face!
(Haha, yes, I'm a bit of a crazy person, can you tell? )

I am, as you read earlier Ellen (but you can call me Mimi, no prob ^^)
I'm a 14 year old girl living in Belgium
My birthday is on 7 March (Only two days away from Tae's B-day, YAY!~~)

My interests are

- MUSIC
Aaah, music, you can't live without it, right?
just like everyone else, I've been listening to music since being born (Well, just from when you first heard music, ofcourse :3)
especially when it's school; I couldn't survive without one day music! What else would fill the long, boring bus trips?

- DRAWING

I don't want brag, but you could say it's a little bit in my genes.
My grandfather (who died when I was three,) was good at art.
And you could say my mom had it in here genes too, and she passed it onto me, I guess
Lately, I'm actually drawing an overload of manga "
I love to draw with my drawing tablet; or just when the classes are a bit too boring to me...

Guess I got that interest from my dad.
He had a Nikon when he was young, and decided to buy a new one not so long ago.
I just L O V E to experiment with his Nikon D3000
Oh how I love the manual focus of that camera

I love to take pictures of everything!
But with that manual focus; oh how I love to take pictures of insect up so close ^o^

- JAPAN

It was maybe a year ago, maybe longer, I started being interested in Japan...
I remember that I found out that the artstyle I loved was called 'Manga'
And searching deviantart, I saw a reaction on a drawing: 'Kawaii!'
I was so obsessed with the word, really, I decided to look up what it meant
it meant 'Cute' in Japanese. I found out after searching the internet that I found Japanese to be really cool and cute.

Then ofcourse, I started watching Japanese anime.
Still as cool as hell! ^-^y

Then yeah, I looked up videos of things in Japan, read many things about it and F E L L I N L O V E

- ANIME

As I told before, I started to watch anime.

First; Sailor Moon. First 'Niiiice' then, it bored me.
I watched K-On! and was astounished! It was genius!
Then came Angel Beats, Clannad (+ afterstory), Seiken No Blacksmith, Minami-Ke, Kanon, Strawberry Panic, Death Note, Toradora, Death Note, To Aru Majutsu no Index, Black x Rock Shooter; Fruits Basket, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (season 1)

K-On!

Could be on Paint.net of Photoshop CS2....

I'm not so good with photoshop, but I'm trying my best!

HOW DID I FIRST HEAR OF SNSD?

Let me tell you, Kpop really isn't famous here, neither is Jpop.
Most music that we hear here is from America, or Belgium itself.

Actually I was on a dutch website called 'Digidier'
SNSD was very popular amongst some girls on that website.
They opened a topic on the forum.
I decided to look SNSD up.

I came on 'Gee'
I was blown away from my chair, really I liked them so much!

Yes, I will thank those girls on that website forever for letting me know they excist, and make suberb music! ♥

There is a chance for everyone!


I will tell you; I was always being bullied at primary school;
It was so much, that even the teachers stopped listening to what they all said to me.
I always thought I shouldn't have been here.

coming into high school made a difference.
I still had problems the first year, but near the end of that year I made a good friend.

The second year my whole world changed, after being a pessimist for such a long time, I started being an optimist!
(Those cheerful Japanese people really changed my way of thinking, huh? )
Now, I have a lot of great friends, which I wouldn't want to loose, ever!

This schoolyear's going to be a challenge, new teachers, new class, 'new' students which I have to become friends with!
I'm a bit nervous, but I'll handle the first day with a smile, and I'm sure everything's gonna be fine!
