Okay so I don't know what else to write, so I'm just going to randomly type.

I remember watching the Gee music video when it came out, but I didn't really get into SNSD just yet. I liked the video, and even learned the dance, but my interest didn't extend to the girls, just the dance and the song. I remember reading the comments and people were asking "who's the girl at ___?" "oh that ____" and being confused by all the strange names. Hyoyeon? Who's Hyoyeon? Haha. Life before my obsession started. Ohgoodness those were the days when I wasn't broke, huh.

So I truly got into SNSD two years ago around... September I think? I remember just trawling the internet, and discovering the rest of SNSD's music videos through youtube, as many people do. I remember getting Oh! stuck in my head, being impressed by Run Devil Run, chancing upon Soshified, joining, watching Girls Go To School, and then there was no turning back.

In NYC I'm not exactly surrounded by supporters. My brothers think I'm crazy (even the one that introduced me to Gee) and my mother just thinks it's another strange obsession of mine, like the one I have with anime/manga. Ah well. I've recently gained more friends who love k-pop, but none are SONES. I have converted some people, but none are as avid a fan as I am.

Being in NYC, I was lucky enough to be able to go to SMTOWN NYC and see the girls live performing at Madison Square Garden. I had close seated ground tickets. 10.23.11 -- best day of my life? Possibly. After all, the day after that I went to the fan meet after school. I wrestled my way to the front (though I didn't actually have to put that much effort into it -- people behind me pushed me there. And I'm small, so I slip through crowds pretty easily). Ah goodness, that was crazy. I wasn't even to take my backpack off, and I was still wearing my jacket. (Yes I was sweating like crazy.) There was no room! It was worth it to see them though.

I'm sure I've successfully made a lot of you jealous now (though the K-Sones are the luckiest!) My only wish now is that someday they have a world-wide tour and I get to see their solo concert with front row tickets. Either that or I just have to go to Korea~
