Aww, such a sweet song. I wasn't expecting quite this much angst, though. Makes the performance on MuCore that much more poignant.

I was just playing along with this song on bass. I have to say, I'm very jealous of the composer of this song like I am with virtually every SNSD song. Typical of SNSD music are beautiful melodies that flow well with the chord progressions that adhere very much to classical rules and more "classic" style song writing from the 40s through 60s. This one is no exception, but from a composer's view this one is so well arranged. Oh how I revel in this sense of wonder at the structural marvel of this tune, which is technically simple but pretty complex in its harmonic motion with the way it modulates to different keys from one section to the next and back, the interesting use of secondary dominants, temporary shifts in tonal centers...argh, how I wish I wrote this tune myself! Well enough of the jargon. I'm sure you all love this tune as much as I, and much greater credit to you for knowing it as something special as pure music lovers.
