Hello! you're filipino? :D I see you know how to speak Japanese. I know but only simple sentences! :D and I know how to write Hiragana, still learning Katakana, and I don't think I can survive Kanji! :))

kanji = chinese characters .. it's very hard co'z you need to know the english meaning .. how to pronounce it how to write it in a correct stroke :D goodluck

basic like konnichiwa (goodafternoon) konbanwa (goodeve) ohayou gozaimasu (good morning).. if really want to study learning japanese memorize the katakana and hiragan so that you will be able to read japanese.. the chinese characters are called kanji :D
