Haha really?? Thats cool, i've always wanted to visit cebu! Well now im currently living in Arizona, its soooo hot and dry here! I would rather be there in the philipines in the nice grass and coconut trees everywhere by the beach! Ahhh i miss it! :))

Hahaha me too! 100% :) Well i was born in Davao city, but then moved to Manila, Tnen after that moved here in America :) lol I've seen many filippinos in this site, so where are you from in the philippines? :)

what I do is I just lightly trace the part where the shade is going to happen lol and then I evenly spread them using my fingers.. or cotton balls..
I'm sorry but it's a very primitive technique for you, I guess. hahahaha
That's what I usually do though. :D :P I still need to practice and explore.
P.s. Or I use charcoal pencils.

About the shading thingy. I only use ordinary pencils for those drawings. Faber castell pencils. I didn't take formal classes for portrait and sketching so I don't really know what materials to use... T.T
