Lol I feel so bad now cuz I didn't like SNSD at first!! >.< I just have to love them even more now to make up for that :P
The first k-pop group I liked was actually 2NE1, Bom was my favourite member then.
After that, I got to know SNSD more and now hehe Seohyun is my ultimate bias XD

I learned about them through my DBSK/Jaejoong obsessed friend. She showed me the Gee MV and...I thought it was such an annoying song because of the constant repeating of the word gee >.< Oh I'm terrible, I know!! :'( But I made up for it cuz I love SNSD to death now :P

Based off of what I know, they do it because they're too weak (mentally) to handle it while sober, so they take to something that will keep them "happy" I guess.
