If you study in known universities here, you might not need tagalog all the time. Students speak english but if you study in a patriotic kind of university, you'll need it. :)

Tourists huh? Well i definitely am going to go once I graduate. My mom's playing with the idea of me going to school there, but idk.. Very soon though, I hope -__- My Tagalog is kinda rusty though XD haven't been speaking it in a while.

i agree with you and the economy, it's hard in here too.
the beaches are fine, too many tourists. the weather isn't stable though 'coz there's a storm coming.

I've been here since I was 2, but I lived in the Philippines for about a year. I visit like every 3 years now, but recently with everything about the economy and stuff, it's hard to find the money :( and I bet the beaches are nice. Clear ocean water!! There's not a lot of that here in Cali...
