Ohh, I see. That's interesting. :) Is American history what interests you the most, or is that just what's more convenient? History was always interesting to me, but I wasn't so great at matching years and events in school. :3

Welp, I do plan on teaching high school in the US so it's only nature that I'd focus on US history. As far as being qualified, I just have to concentrate on something that's remotely U.S. related so it's kind of open ended. My area of focus could be colonial/early US history or military history but it doesn't really matter since I can just read the textbook beforehand and base lessons on that.

Haha, no problem. I understand. :) I've been to Chicago a few times (I used to live about a 3-4 hour drive away). I really like it there. :) The symphony is excellent, haha. Have you gone to see it?
Is there a particular niche in history you're focusing on? A region, a time period, &c?

Yesssh, as my headliner indicates, I am paranoid of stalkers. But yeah, I go to UIC in Chicago and studying to be a history teacher and only 1 year older than you.

Awesome! I'm not sure which tool you're referring to, but I am familiar with your method. :) I would like to try knapping with obsidian, but I would probably break myself. xD
Yes, my major is anthropology~ Are you in college too? There is not a lot of info on your profile. ^_^

I'm sure it was flint. I made some kind of crude cutting tool (I forgot the name but the method was striking a big rock with a hammerstone at an angle and the opposite forces would make a small piece of that rock come off). Anyways, are you majoring in anthro or just something you have interest in?

Haha, that's understandable. xD I've forgotten a lot of stuff I learned in the past because of a lack of relevance, so I get it. It's really cool that you were able to practice knapping, though! What kind of material did you use? Do you remember?
Haha, wow, you went back really far in our ancestry! ^_^ It sounds like you liked at least parts of it, so I'm glad. :)

Well I pretty much forgotten much of the archaeology stuff but I did have a fun time in the labs and learning how to make stone tools and such. As for the other, it first went over the basic stuff like Darwin, classification, and traits but the first pre-primate thingy we looked at were plesiadapiformes. Did went to the zoo a couple of times to study various apes and monkeys too.

Ohh, archaeology. Fascinating stuff, isn't it? ^_^ As for your evolution course, what did you think of it? And how early did you go in human ancestry? Prosimians or more recent? Maybe more distant?

Hehe, thank you! ^_^ That's where I've been spending most of my time too, so it doesn't look like I've been making very many posts. >_>
May I ask what sub-field of anthropology you studied? Most people have at least some experience with socio-cultural. Not so much with my specialty, though. :)
