I'm surprised you didn't know, Studio Ghibli is one of the most famous animation studios in Japan founded by none other than Hayao Miyazak. Many of Studio Ghibli's films are directed by him, like spirited away, howl's moving castle, Ponyo, Totoro etc. Spirited away also won an oscar for animation too ^_^

Manga's I have read are, hunter x hunter, naruto, one piece, bleach, full metal alchemist, fairy tail, death note, Ao no exorcist, Kekkaishi. I read the "popula" mangas are sometimes they are so cliche sigh... Some of the above have been adapted to anime so I've watched a few too. Nothing beats Studo Ghibli though. Laputa Castle in the Sky and Spirited away are the best ever :)
