Yes, my mom too usually drag me on malls with my niece. XD
what I only like about malls are bookstores. Like seriously, I have aversion towards department stores (clothes...botiques). My nose hurts when we spend more than enough time on clothing/shoe stores.

not to say I'm not good at Tagalog language...but I'd say I am not good at Tagalog words. ahehehe. :)) Yes, I use Tag-Lish (tagalog/english) when talking. But it isn't noticeable since many people here don't really know the tagalog term of some english words. lol. Because English is our main language too...It doesn't matter. XD

Woah. "May Kaya or maykaya" here means "can afford" thus, rich. :) lol. I see some similarities in our words.
--> Would be it weird if I tell you that I can't speak Tagalog/Filipino that well? lol. I know how to speak fluently but when I write essays, I prefer english because I find it easier...and we have a tagalog term for paddle. I just don't know what it is. XD HAHAHA.

actually rich in malay is pronounce as 'kaya' but there's state that hv a dialect they pronounce it as 'kayo'.For paddle/cycle it pronounce as 'kayuh'. There's no paddle in philp? Then how u say you want to paddle the canoe?

...yes, words are different when it's singular or plural.
And we do use formal terms too...and honorifics. We always have "po" in a sentence if we're talking to someone older. Like, "Kumusta po kayo?" --respectful way of asking How Are You. "Opo" is the respectful way of saying "Yes" whereas its "oo" when you're talking to someone casually.
