On July 10th, Taeyeon’s “Why” took the top spot on SBS’s “Inkigayo”. “Starlight” was also nominated. This marks Taeyeon’s second award for her solo comeback, with “Starlight” winning earlier this week on KBS’s “Music Bank“.
Taeyeon was not at “Inkigayo” as she currently is performing the second leg of her solo concert series, “Butterfly Kiss”, with Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Yoona in the audience. Meanwhile, Seohyun had attended the first “Butterfly Kiss” performance on July 9th. Taeyeon personally thanked fans during today’s stage, saying, “On Friday, I got first place for ‘Starlight’ and following that, I got number one for ‘Why’! Excellent, excellent. Thank you so much, SONE.” She also mentioned that the win was unexpected, and thus was very surprised and thankful.

There’s something that has been bothering me this last few weeks…why isn’t Soshified not featuring Taeyeon’s MV’s or encouraging to support via Itunes releases or official goods??? Even during Tiffany’s solo debut they feature Jessica’s MV more than Tiffany’s. I know we all agree to support them but something seems to be off…. :(
