Girls’ Generation has announced “THE BEST LIVE”, a concert performance to take place at Tokyo Dome, through a video posted on the SMTOWN YouTube channel. The reveal coincides with Girls’ Generation’s fourth anniversary since debuting in Japan on August 25th, 2010.
In the video, the members of Girls’ Generation recount the start of their musical careers in Japan, thank fans for the love the group has received, and invite fans to “THE BEST LIVE”. The concert will take place on December 9th and will feature both Girls’ Generation’s Korean and Japanese songs, as well as a new song that will be performed.
Lastly, the end of the video shows the “#catchGG” hashtag, which the members introduce in a second video on the SMTOWN channel, explaining that it is meant to connect fans and Girls’ Generation.

Yes, I think there would be a World Tour next year. The girls said there will be a Seoul concert on January, I think.
I think this concert could be the template for a tour of America, Europe etc. “The Best” would seem appropriate for countries they have never toured before.
I have to agree with you SoshiMech. I saw this coming since the 1st World Tour setlist is somewhat inappropriate if they are performing for the Western market.

don’t the tickets be like in a lottery form? you know like you have to buy their album and then there’s like a little paper/card that comes in the album with some kind of code on it, and then you’d have to enter that code for a chance to win at the lottery draw. anyway hope y’all can read/understand Japanese or if you know someone who can help y’all further in applying for those lottery drawing.
I don’t know about the code thing. I bought the album but don’t recall there being a code in it and seeing that this has just been announced I don’t think this would be the case unless they start putting in codes in from here on. I guess we will hear more later. I’m thinking I might try a Japanese travel agent to see if they can get tickets.
You register at ticketebo when information is announced. Once you do, you’re prompted to enter your credit card info. It’s done by lottery, so if you’ve never applied before, you’d be in the last round. First 2 rounds are for J-SONEs and previous winners. If you win, you will be notified and your card charged. You cannot pick your seat. If you don’t, you will not be charged and not be able to purchase tickets. Be very careful about resellers, as some concerts they will match the ticket buyers name to the person entering, so if you bought it from a scalper, they might deny you entry because you aren’t the original purchaser.
Let’s hope for a SMTravel tour ticket option, I heard getting tickets in Japan is harder
Thumbs up for the SMtown Travel option! Someone just told me that when KARA played Tokyo Dome the tickets sold out in 5min and I can already tell the interest for this concert is exponentially bigger!
Hey guys, I checked the SMTravel for SMTOWN in Tokyo and the packages already include accommodations. The cheapest is $809. I think this would be the same for The Best concert.

congratulations to the wonderful, beautiful, gracious, humble, hardworking Goddesses of all Sones’ hearts. i’m so very happy and proud of them FINALLY F.I.N.A.L.L.Y getting to live 1 of their ULTIMATE dream/goal. to do a concert at thee T.O.K.Y.O D.O.M.E!!! man i thought they’d never ever get to do a solo concert there because it felt to me like SM and their Japanese label don’t have faith in SNSD being able to draw 50,000 fans to fill every seat in the house. thank gawd the girls are going to get the chance to prove them and any body else wrong. man the PINK OCEAN is going to look MAGNIFICENT. i can’t wait to see fancams (hopefully, since Japan security are tough on fans recording during concerts). shoo i wouldn’t mind if this make it on an official blu-ray/dvd, that way i could buy it for my Soshi treasure. gawd i’m so so so happy. goodluck to all those Sones who are going to try and get tickets. peace!
