The members of Girls’ Generation were recently featured in an interview with dongA about their “Mr.Mr.” release and comeback. Concerning the song’s style and outfits, the members pointed out that they will have suits for “Mr.Mr.”, but on their other stages, they will have a feminine look and other girlish styles. Tiffany specified, “The actual concept is ‘mystery’.”

Seohyun also responded by saying, “Please know that we are trying on a new concept but tried to leave our colors in place. We will meet you with a strong but feminine look.”

The interview also touched on Girls’ Generation’s place within the industry as both leaders and veterans of Korean pop music. When asked about competition with hoobae (junior) groups, the girls replied, “We feel responsibility and burden as sunbaes (seniors). I think that is what drives us to improve our performances.”

Girls’ Generation’s “Mr.Mr.” comeback is well underway, with performances and a win on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” and stages on KBS’s “Music Bank” and MBC’s “Show! Music Core” all taking place in the past few days. The nine ladies will also perform on SBS’s “Inkigayo” tomorrow, March 9th, at 3:40 PM KST.
