Yoona has been nominated in two categories, “Best Actress” and “Best Couple” (with her co-star, Lee Bumsoo), at the “2013 KBS Drama Awards” for her role in “Prime Minister and I”, which is currently airing Mondays and Tuesdays on KBS. Yoona plays Nam Dajung, a photographer and reporter for “Scandal News” who gets into a scandal herself after meeting the nation’s newly elected prime minister, played by Lee Bumsoo.
Yoona will also host the “2013 KBS Drama Awards” alongside Lee Misook, Shin Hyunjoon, and Joo Sangwook. The award ceremony will take place on December 31st at 8:30 PM KST.

I know it’s a bit weird for Yoona to be nominated when her drama is just started. and also she will be one of the MC.
But it’s not like all this because SM pay KBS for all this.
First, about the nomination, the drama is in 2013 so it will be nominated whether it just started or end. I think previous years for some other drama apply it as well. Some even won the award.
Next, about she’s be the MC. Every year, Yoona always be the MC of one of year end ceremony. She’s been the MC for Gayo Daejun, and Entertainment Award. So this time she got to be in Drama Award.;p

How could you judge a drama before its ending is aired? This is so weird…
that’s exactly my opinion , it feels so fake as if she’s buying the awards or something …
Also had that in mind. Though, maybe it has something to do with their mechanics. Either way, I’d like to know why too. I mean, I like hearing the girls being nominated and winning awards, but when it’s like this, it makes it quite questionable, or are we thinking too much of it?
it looks like we’re all asking the same question..hahaha.. well, if you’re watching prime minister and i, you can say that she deserves the best actress award if you base it on the 4 episodes that’s been aired. :)

I hear you. I think TV logic is simple, though: Yoona hosting and nominated boosts ratings for the awards show, Yoona winning boosts ratings for the episodes yet to air.
The award held on dec 31, people still has time to judge this couples and Yoona acting coz this drama will end in jan ( only 16 eps n if air on dec 31 too then that will be 8 eps, that is why they included this drama for this year end award not net year).
It’s because the drama is airing in this year. no matter it’s end or not. I remember Yoochun won award for I Miss You (MBC) even though the drama is just air that makes me wonder so much last year. Same as School 2013 (KBS) if I’m not mistaken..
