Girls’ Generation’s third Japanese album, “LOVE&PEACE“, recently ranked first on Oricon’s December 23rd weekly album chart by totaling 129,000 sales. Girls’ Generation’s self-titled debut Japanese album, released in June of 2011, also ranked first in the weekly album chart, making Girls’ Generation the first Korean girl group to have two albums place first on a weekly album ranking, surpassing KARA.
The successful “LOVE&PEACE” album totals twelve songs, including past singles such as “GALAXY SUPERNOVA” and “LOVE&GIRLS”, while also debuting six new songs. Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation’s third Japan tour will begin next April, and the girls’ “Märchen Fantasy” concert for “SMTOWN Week” will take place this Sunday on December 22nd.

The new songs in album are great! I hope that the new korean album is just as awesome.
I think part of the reason this album hit No. 1 and the previous one didn’t is that this album is much stronger. Granted, a lot of the tracks on the album are B-sides from their past singles, but I think the B-sides were better than the A-sides!

hehe our angels still making history. here’s to another 1st under their already long list of 1st. so glad to see this album doing good so far and hoping it continue to do better in the future with all their Japanese promotions. they’re either platinum now or going to be platinum soon, i forgot if it’s 100,000 or 150,000 for platinum status on Japan charts. anyway i’m proud and happy that i bought my copies to support the girls and yes i’m enjoying the songs very much. they’re my jams at work giving me energy. ONLY SNSD!

okay they hit Gold status and not Platinum. i remember now that 100,000 is gold and 250,000 is platinum. so another gold plaque under their name.
