Update with performance:
On May 17th, Girls’ Generation performed on KBS “Music Bank”‘s special 700th episode, singing “Gee” and “I Got A Boy”. Viewers were first taken to 2009 when Girls’ Generation performed “Gee” while dressed in white tops and blue jeans. The group then brought it back to 2013 and changed into yellow and black outfits for “I Got A Boy”.

Girls’ Generation will be performing on KBS’s “Music Bank” for their special 700th episode on May 17 at Shingwan Public Hall. The girls will be performing “I Got A Boy” and “Gee” for this special episode.
This will be their first time appearing on KBS’s “Music Bank” again after finishing up their successful promotions for “I Got A Boy” in February.
Other performers include Shinhwa, 2PM, SHINee, K.Will, SECRET, 4minute, B1A4, Nine Muses, Seo Inyoung, Ailee, Dynamic Duo, Simon D., and Rhythm Power.

Both of the performances were amazing! The crowd was so loud and totally into it and watching Gee made me so happy. They look so grown up from where they performed Gee on MuBank 4 years ago lol. And I Got a Boy was fantastic. They all looked rested and happy because of their mini vacation after their Japanese tour. If they’re happy I’m happy :) And Sunny Bunny looks like she’s growing out her hair. Another comeback this year maybe? ;P I sure hope so!

poor hyoyeon doesnt get screentime for her part in gee :( and at the end it focus at jessica not at seohyun (she’s in the center) and then zoom out to the full group shot like usual. biased much huh?

woohoo so nice to see our 9 babies going back on MuBank for a special performance. we haven’t seen Korean Gee perform in so long, i’m sure Sones will be going wild for this. can’t wait to hear all the fanchants and see the girls performing happily on stage. hwaiting Soshi!

yep KSones did go crazy over Gee, fanchants were awesome as usual and i can see pink balloons waving around up front. the 9 angels are looking like sexy angels with their jeans and white shirt being tied at the belly area. they still looking like lovely young women, not too much skin showing. that’s Sones lovely DIVINE 9. the vocals were on point too, girls singing 100% live and dancing energetically while doing so. it’s So Nyuh Shi Dae/Girls’ Generation/Soshi/Shoujo Jidai! all of them JJANG.
i wanna say thanks to MuBank for doing this because i felt like i was back in 2009 again. funny thing though is that i wasn’t even aware of SNSD or anything called Kpop back in 2009. i don’t know if what i’m feeling now is even close to what those veteran Sones and kpopers were feeling back then when Gee was hot. i’ve missed out on a lot on our 9 angels. so thank you KBS for this special and for bringing this brilliant idea back to life.
