Anticipation grows for the sequel to 2010’s high grossing 3D animated film, “Despicable Me”, with “Despicable Me 2” (in Korea as “Superbad 2”). Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Seohyun, praised for their voice dubbing in the first film, will reprise their roles for the upcoming sequel. Promotion for the film kicked off in Korea with the release of the first trailer.
Taeyeon provides the voice for Gru’s eldest daughter, Margo, a ten year old girl with an attitude far beyond her young age. Seohyun, meanwhile, voices the mischievous and cynical Edith.
In “Despicable Me 2”, Gru continues his dream in becoming the world’s greatest villain, yet is ironically recruited by the shadowy Anti-Villain League to combat the threat posed by the new character, Eduardo. Fans will be thrilled to see Girls’ Generation voice Gru’s cute kids as they team up with the lovable Minions once more.

Is the Korean track on DVDs in the US?
I doubt that would be available in US. The most foreign dubbings you get on American DVDs would be French or Spanish, as far as I know. You would be really lucky just to have Korean subtitles on US DVDs.

I can really imagine Taeyeon’s voice as Margo’s, but it’s hard to imagine Seohyun being as mischievous Edith – our responsible maknae. ^.^ Anyways, maknae and leader, HWAITING!
As expected of TaeSeo. they did a great job in the 1st, so why not have them return to do another great job 2nd time around. Tae is gorgeous with those glasses on and Seo is beautiful with her warmer hat on. kamsahamnida SSF for keeping us update. ♥♥♥
yay, the moment i hear the first rumor of a despicable me 2 the first thing that popped into my mind wasn’t, “wow thats a great movie” or “I wonder when its coming out here” no my fist though was “will seohyun, and Taeyeon come back to dub this?”

I’m wondering too now. To me it was clear they would dub in Korean, but Soshified linked the english trailer… Hmm.
Ideally, their voice work will be for a Korean dubbing. Precisely why they signed on Taeyeon and Seohyun again. :P We simply used the American trailer to give a teaser of what we’ll see Margo and Edith get up to.
