Starting this upcoming June, Girls’ Generation is planning on going on a world tour, “2013 Girls’ Generation’s World Tour – Girls & Peace”, starting in Seoul and going around Asia as well as the entire world. The hot response from fans in Korea as well as other countries who have waited for Girls’ Generation’s performances is being anticipated.
The Seoul concerts, which will start the world tour, will take place at the Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park on June 8th and 9th. It is expected that Girls’ Generation will show off a high quality concert, showing their own different performances and diverse charms, captivating fans.
As this solo concert will be the first one in two years following the July 2011 “2011 Girls’ Generation Tour” and will be their first world tour, an explosive response is expected. Girls’ Generation recently finished their second Japan arena tour, entertaining a record number of over 200,000 fans.
The Seoul concert tickets will go on sale online starting on May 9th at 8pm KST through G-Market. As Girls’ Generation is a group that has a lot of ticket power, it’s predicted the ticketing will be fierce.
Meanwhile, for the Seoul concert an overseas fan tour is in the plans, and the overseas fan tour package can be purchased through SM C&C’s site. It will be available for purchase by fans all around the world, and it is expected that overseas fans’ attentions will be centered [on this concert as well].

Perhaps someone can clear this up for me here! I recently was on wikipedia and this is what they have posted regarding other tour dates:
“Concert dates were announced on May 6th, 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand, Manila, Phillippines, Hong Kong, Paris, London, New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, and Newark. U.S location tickets to be sold at LiveNation and Ticketmaster.com. ©SMEntertainment”
Can anyone confirm this? There isn’t anything supporting this statement on wiki and I’ve been searching for quite some time now. If someone does find anything regarding official dates or locations, please let me know! :)

Logically speaking, in World Tour(which is a lot larger than Japan), they should at least held twice amount of concerts. Shouldn’t they? If 1 concert per 1 city, then it should be at least 40 cities…

I am absolutely glad that Girls’ Generation is going on their first ever world tour this summer. And as always, I don’t have anything to worry about the girls at all. I know for sure that the girls will have solo stages for the world tour because i’m sure that all the fans will love that a lot. And to those who might worry about the girls’ US debut, it’s still happening either next month or June. Soooo, I absolutely wish the girls the best of luck on their first world tour
