The recording for MBC’s special comeback broadcast for Girls’ Generation, “Romantic Fantasy”, is scheduled to take place on December 23, 2012 at 7 AM KST.

On December 21st, Girls’ Generation released “Dancing Queen”, a remake of Duffy’s “Mercy” and a track from their upcoming Korean album. Through the music video, SM Entertainment also revealed that Girls’ Generation will be making a comeback on New Year’s Day, January 1st, with their newest album, “I Got A Boy”.
Girls’ Generation’s official website has also been updated with an “I Got A Boy” theme, and two teaser photos of Hyoyeon for the “I Got A Boy” concept have now been released.

So I’m a little confused about the comeback broadcast. If someone could clear it up for me that would be awesome. So since the broadcast is scheduled for tomorrow (in Korea of course), will our girls be eligible for any awards or anything? And since the broadcast is scheduled for tomorrow, what does the date on their “I Got a Boy” teaser mean? Does that mean the release of their “I Got a Boy” music video, their actual comeback date, or their 4th album release date?
I think it means they’ll do the recording tomorrow, but show it later during their actual comeback. I’m not sure about awards, but even if it did technically make them eligible for something (though I don’t think it would), I highly doubt they’d actually have a snowball’s chance of winning anything due to their inactivity this whole year. If there was anything that they would have a chance of winning, it probably wouldn’t depend on a comeback anyway. Take this for what it’s worth; I’m really just guessing and reasoning. I’m not 100% on anything, lol.
I think they are just recording the special tomorrow but it won’t air until a later date. They are probably waiting till the 1st so they can be eligible for awards.
i will wait for smton one since i like watching from there. i can hardy wait for our angel comeback it going to be so awesome.

Anyways, yeah, it’s good to have a new one from the Girls. Finally! And a throwback from the old days, wow! That’s something I didn’t see coming from miles away. It was really surprising. It’s got cute and sexy choreography coupled with a catchy tune. Interesting. Something new for me to learn, yay!

Yup. It’s an old video. You can see the girls were wearing the same type of jeans ( G-Star Raw) as their Gee Video, and they also look way younger. And by the way, just an FYI, the song is a remake of Duffy’s Mercy. :)
This was supposed to be their comeback song in 2009 instead of Gee but Gee was decided in the last minute.
This is not an old video. The girls are just dressed up as they were in Gee and this song was recorded recently because their vocals have improved (listen to Seohyun) and they also look more mature. I mean Sooyoung and Yuri look wayyy different, just look at the weight they lost in comparison to before. Hyoyeon’s hair is simply dyed and Sunny is wearing a wig.

W00t!~ SNSD is Back and in cool way with a teaser for “I Got A Boy” 4th album. Just bought “Dancing Queen” off of ITunes and am loving it. I just saw the video and its very catchy and cool. Can’t wait for New Year’s day to see wat our Girls have for us. This is just the beginning of a New Years’ present from our Girls!

Watched the video again and noticed that a few dance moves are similar or the same as from some of their other videos. Just found that interesting and cool. :) I really like the song. I can’t wait for translated lyrics to come out. And more images for the new single! I do find it interesting there was…what two? Pictures prior to the release of this video and this video isn’t even the main attraction of the new album, as far as I can tell anyways. :)
I have a feeling that the video, the concept and the dance were taken to pieces, the outfits became Gee, some dance moves were used in Chocolate Love and so on.

Fascinating, but Hyoyeon is the girl with the neck tattoo, she’s the only blonde one (that rainbow suits her but you don’t see it in the pic). I suppose that’s bcuz her picture is already out? Maybe they will update that picture and drawing too after Seohyun is out! I can’t wait. Good eye, thanks!
