Girls’ Generation will be performing at the 2012 Gangam Festival, which will be held at Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The festival will take place on October 2nd through October 7th.
The festival will hold a series of events, including the 10th International Peace Marathon on the 3rd, the Gangnam Fashion Festival that runs from the 4th to the 6th, and a Korean Wave Festival which will feature a K-Pop concert on the final day, October 7th. The Gangnam Festival will also include a Gangnam Grand Sale which offers discounted shopping during the six-day event.
The concert will be held in front of the COEX mall at 7 PM KST. Girls’ Generation will be performing alongside fellow label mate Super Junior as well as other Korean artists.

………..is this some kind of Gangnam Effect? Gangnam is lately “the place to be” for all types of things…….I think that before Gangnam Style came out, I had never noticed the suburb name before! lol

There will not be an event showcasing Korean music or culture in true near future that doesn’t feature SNSD! And the great thing is that they don’t cherry pick. Whether it is a grand convention like this, or a small fan signing, if SNSD can be there and will be received with love and enthusiasm, they will be there. That’s just who they are! :-)
It does seem like it’s been a while since they’ve done any Korean events together, huh? I think a Korean comeback is really what they need. They have been too focused on Japanese comeback and have faded just a wee bit from Korean shows. At least while being all together, still lots individually. I really enjoy seeing them all together even if it is great to see them individually. Together is better. Soshi Bond! Fighting! <3
whoop whoop Soshi invited to another event. i love that they continue being invited to perform. people still sees them as the leaders of Hally Wave and the Korean culture for tourism. i hope they’re in good shape for this event and rock the house. stay healthy and strong ladies, i’ll be cheering from home across the world. thanks SSF for this awesome news update. :)
