Behind-the-Scenes Footage of “Love Rain” Released

Behind-the-scenes footage of some scenes with Yoona and Jang Geunsuk from Episodes 9 and 11 has been released. The clips show that the two are on very good terms with the staff members, lightening the mood on the set with their good sense of humor. Despite their nonchalant attitudes, however, they are still professional when it’s time to work. The scenes covered in both videos take place at White Garden, a cafe in the drama that belongs to Seo Joon (played by Jang Geunsuk).

J-Symphony (제이심포니) Covers “Gee”

J-Symphony, a popular South Korean duo, recently performed a cover of Girls’ Generation’s hit, “Gee”. The pair added an original twist to the fan-favorite, showcasing their smooth vocals and drawing praise from the audience for their rendition.

New “Catch Me If You Can” Spot Released Featuring Sunny

A new promotional video of “Catch Me If You Can” has recently appeared, featuring scenes of Sunny performing her role as “Nurse Brenda” in the musical. Throughout the short video, a live recording of Sunny singing “Fly Fly Away”, one of the musical’s songs, plays in the background. It is clear that Sunny has managed to perform well and show off her amazing singing ability, despite being busy with other schedules, as she is able to express her emotions perfectly.

New Yakult “Look” CF Revealed

After revealing a fifteen second CF of “Look”, featuring Girls’ Generation, Yakult Korea has now released a thirty second version. The CF includes shots of the girls’ fabulous figures and a hilarious scene of Jessica, Yuri, Sooyoung, and Yoona in a cinema with “Look” in hand.

“InStyle” Releases a Behind-the-Scenes Video of Sooyoung’s Photoshoot

“InStyle Magazine” has released a behind-the-scenes video of Sooyoung’s photoshoot for its April 2012 issue. In a short interview, Sooyoung talked about her lipstick, stating that its color wasn’t really red or orange, but a deep red. She said that it was her first time using a colored lipstick and that it wasn’t as bad as she expected. She added that her personality is probably best expressed by the intensity of red and orange’s freshness but said that deep red is still a nice color she can relate to. She then proceeded to send a message to her fans asking, “Does it suit me?”

Mamonde has released a new Chinese CF as part of Yuri’s continuing endorsement for the cosmetic and skin care brand. Yuri shows off her beautiful looks as flower petals swirl around her to form a BB cream product in her hands.

Tiffany Posts a Short Message on Girls’ Generation – TTS Website

Shortly after the release of the new MV “Twinkle” by Girls’ Generation – TTS, Tiffany posted a cute message on Girls’ Generation – TTS’s official website. In the message, she told fans that she and the girls were practicing a lot. She also promoted Ace Bed by using the catchphrase “Have a good 잠 (jam/sleep)” from the CFs. Drew Ryan Scott Tweets About “Twinkle”

Varsity Fanclub member Drew Ryan Scott, one of the original singers of “Baby Steps” (a song covered by Girls’ Generation – TTS for the “Twinkle” album), tweeted on April 28th telling his followers to buy the “Twinkle” mini-album and to “make it huge!!!” He included a link to the US iTunes store with his message. Scott is a well-established music producer and songwriter; his clients include other SM Entertainment artists such as Super Junior and TVXQ, as well as many other Korean, Japanese, European and North American artists.

SM Entertainment Artists Featured in “MyPaper”

On May 3, “MyPaper,” a newspaper based in Singapore, released interviews with SM Entertainment artists that were held during the “I AM” showcase. Among the featured groups were Super Junior, TVXQ, Kangta, f(x), SHINee, and of course, Girls’ Generation.

Girls’ Generation Included in WhatCulture’s “5 K-Pop Bands Looking to Smash US/UK Charts”

WhatCulture, a popular entertainment and cultural website, has recently released a list of K-Pop groups ready to take the western music market by storm, placing Girls’ Generation as first. Listing the girls’ achievements since their debut, the article praises Girls’ Generation’s rise to success and compliments their various styles in music, saying that “Gee” is “hand-clapping super pop at its best”,  “Run Devil Run” is “squelching beat fierceness with a music video that puts the Pussycat Dolls to shame”, and “Oh!” sounds like the soundtrack to “mega drive Sonic games”. Arirang Places Sunny as Sixth Idol Most Likely to Survive on an Uninhabited Island

Popular English-language Korean network Arirang has recently placed Sunny as sixth among the top ten idols most likely to survive on a deserted island. Others in the list include MBLAQ’s G.O., 2PM’s maknae Chansung, SHINee’s Minho, K.Will, Kim Jongkook, Wonder Girls member Yeeun, Brown Eyed Girls singer Gain, Kara’s Han Seungyeon, and Miss A’s Min. The placing resulted from videos that surfaced online of Sunny catching chickens, mudfish and other animals, leading many to believe that if ever stranded on an island, Sunny would have no problems surviving.

Jessica to Appear on tvN’s “Taxi”

Jessica will make an appearance on tvN’s “Taxi”, a variety show and interview program that takes place in a taxi cab. “Taxi” will be broadcast on May 17th at 12:00 AM KST. The show is well-known for bringing out plenty of heart-warming stories from famous artists through its interviews.

Tiffany Reveals Her Prediction of the Highest Earning Member in Girls’ Generation

Tiffany appeared in an episode of Strong Heart on April 30th, in which she and labelmate Leeteuk from Super Junior revealed who they thought was the highest earning member in their respective groups. When asked, Tiffany picked Yoona as the member she thought to be earning the most. Tiffany explained that since Yoona is the most involved in solo activities like CFs and dramas, it would make sense that Yoona has the most income compared to the other members. Leeteuk said that he thought Siwon earned the most in Super Junior.

Seohyun Thanks Fans Who Attended Girls’ Generation – TTS‘s Performance

After Girls’ Generation – TTS’s performances on “M! Countdown”, Seohyun posted on Girls’ Generation’s official website, thanking fans who came to watch and expressed her wish to meet again in the future. Tiffany Appears on Australian Prime Time TV Show “The Project”

Tiffany made a short appearance on “The Project”, in a section discussing “Vogue” magazine’s decision to rule out thin models and to propose a new image of healthier ones. A photo of Tiffany for her photoshoot with “Vogue” magazine was used as an example of a “healthy look”.

Girls’ Generation – TTS to Appear on MBC’s “Show! Champion”

As part of promotions for their first album “Twinkle”, Girls’ Generation – TTS will be performing live on the MBC Music program “Show! Champion”, hosted by Kim Shinyoung and Super Junior’s Shindong. The show aims to combine variety and music performances together, and every week it selects the best song through audience and artist polls. “Show! Champion” broadcasts live on MBC Music on Tuesday, May 8 at 7:00 PM KST.

Shim Jaewon Tweets About Girls’ Generation – TTS

Shim Jaewon, a performance director and choreographer for SM Entertainment, recently tweeted a photo of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun showing their appreciation for a box of treats sent by fans. He added that since the three enjoyed the cupcakes so much, he was sure they would do well in their first live performance of “Twinkle” and “Baby Steps” on M!Countdown.

“I AM” Twitter Account Reveals Photos from the May 1st Showcase

The official Twitter for the movie “I AM” tweeted a few pictures from the “I AM” showcase. The first picture shows Tiffany and Seohyun with their seniors, Kangta and Yesung. The girls’ cute poses and the relaxed demeanor of the guys combine to create a photo filled with warmth and affection. A photo of Hyoyeon and Sooyoung alongside SHINee’s Jonghyun and Key was also posted. The four demonstrated their close friendship by making casual poses together for the camera. Later on a picture of Sooyoung and Eunhyuk appeared as well, with the tweet describing them briefly as the ” ‘I AM’ cutie ambassadors” and saying that they looked good together. These commemorative photos were taken in a waiting room during the “I AM” movie’s showcase.

A new selca from Yuri has recently surfaced online. She looks extremely cute, presenting her fresh face in the four-frame picture. Yuri has been working hard filming for SBS’s drama “Fashion King”, so a picture like this shows that she is healthy and doing fine.

Legendary idol group Shinhwa took a picture alongside Girls’ Generation – TTS during their time backstage at M! Countdown. Shinhwa appears to be very warm and friendly with the girls, and are seen promoting Girls’ Generation – TTS’s mini-album, “Twinkle”, in the photo. The picture was posted on Shinhwa’s official Twitter account.

Ivy Commends Seohyun for Her Kindness

 

Singer Ivy posted a photo of sweet potatoes given to her by Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. The two were sharing a waiting room at Music Bank when Ivy commented that she felt hungry. Seohyun then offered her some sweet potatoes. In the blog post, Ivy praised Seohyun for her thoughtfulness and beauty, and wished Girls’ Generation – TTS success.

Sooyoung Visits “Music Bank” to Cheer on Girls’ Generation – TTS

Sooyoung visited Music Bank to cheer on and watch Girls’ Generation – TTS’s performance on May 4th. She even went without make-up and chatted with them while taking pictures. Soulme Lee, a back-up dancer for Girls’ Generation – TTS, tweeted a picture of her with Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. Taeyeon and Seohyun chose to show their signature move from the “Twinkle” choreography while Soulme and Tiffany decided to go with another pose. After the picture, Soulme added that the girls were “always pretty!”

SONE Picture/Video of the Week

The May 1st performance of the “Catch Me If You Can” musical ended on quite an interesting note. SHINee’s Key, who plays Frank Abagnale Jr. in the musical, performed a small bit of choreography from Girls’ Generation – TTS’s “Twinkle” during the musical’s curtain call. Key is well-known for light-heartedly imitating other groups’ choreographies, and is often seen imitating some of Girls’ Generation’s popular dances.
