Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun revealed how they almost did not appear on the popular American talk show “Late Show with David Letterman”. She told this story on SBS’s “Strong Heart” on February 28th.

Seohyun surprised everyone by saying, “While we were happy about being asked to appear on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, after discussing it with the members, we came to the decision not to go on.” She added, “It was because ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ is a talk show that is carried out while sitting, and we would be at a disadvantage when performing on their stage. Because it was a talk show stage, it was too small for all of our members to even stand in a line.” Seohyun continued, “But after giving it some more thought, we decided to go on the show and recorded after rehearsing numerous times.”

Seohyun also talked about the behind-the-scenes story of appearing on a French TV show.

During the recording, Seohyun revealed, “We were the first Korean singers to appear on the popular French program ‘Le Grand Journal’. It was an honor because it is a program that has had Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and other Hollywood stars on it.” She added, “I wasn’t just happy thinking that we were there as representatives of Korea in France, but I was really surprised when the audience cheered for us in Korean.”
