Girls’ Generation’s much anticipated US special album has been made available for pre-order on Amazon and Best Buy.
The album costs $11.99 and will be released January 17th. Girls’ Generation’s US record label, Interscope, had previously stated that the album will contain the remixes from the girls’ digital EP(available on iTunes) that was released on December 20th, as well as a selection of songs from the original Korean album “The Boys”.
Hype for Girls’ Generation’s album has already started, with the remix of “The Boys” featuring Snoop Dogg being played on a Boston radio station, as well as the group being featured on JustJared’s Music Monday on KIIS-FM.
Head over to Amazon to pre-order the album. While you anxiously wait for the release date, brush up on some of the lyrics of the Korean songs that will be included on the album in the Soshified Lyrics Center.

Hi I’m planning to buy the album at Amazon or Best Buy and is the format of the packaging the same as the Korean one with the tin case?
I went to Walmart the day it came out, & it wasn’t there. I looked everywhere, too. I was pretty upset. :(
I’m very mad that I got the Korean version of “The Boys” album. It has the exact same songs, but it would be such a cooler feeling to go to the store & have the album in my hands. XD
If this purchase help them within the US! Must buy to help them succeed~! ^-^

Um, as much as I would love to see SNSD perform at the opening ceremonies, I am 99% sure that the UK would get a BRITISH act to do so.
Either way, that poll is unofficial, so it wouldn’t affect ANYTHING. Write to SM and the Olympic Committee if you really want to make something happen, but again, they will most likely go with a British act!

I wonder what Korean songs are going to be on the album, not that it really matters since I’ll be buying it anyway just to support our girls. I also saw that we can pre-order it on yesasia site too. You can in fact just walk right into BestBuy and purchase the physical copy of the album. When the Maxi single came out, I tried to go buy it only to find out that there was no hard copy of it. At the same time, they said the next expected physical album would be in stores on the 17th. I’m definately going to be there right when they open the store.
AHHH!! I already bought the boys when it first came out in korea. Now I HAVE to buy the remix version in addition to the Mr taxi version……

I’m confused.
So the majority of the tracks are remixes for “The Boys”. The one’s available on iTunes?
Oh and, there will also be tracks in Korean? Or are they English renditions of the songs in Korean?
So… It’s an album, under the label “Interscope”, with some songs in English some in Korean? Does interscope do that?
Wait… Is “The Boys” going to be the only song (in the album) in English? The rest in Korean?

From my understanding this album will be their English debut ablum. At least that’s what the Editorial Review on Amazon says.
The album will contain the remixes from the digitial EP which was 5, I believe. So given that it will be a full length album that means another 6-7 songs will be included. One of which will be ‘The Boys’ and the rest will be Korean songs from thier 3rd Korean Album.
Interscope is the girls’ record label in the U.S.
Hopefully I was able to clear up some of the confusion instead of making it worse. :)
I’m also running low on cash from my last SNSD purchase but I can’t pass up getting this album.
