Update with new video:
During the December 18th premiere of “Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys”, many fans tuned in anticipating Seohyun’s display of anger towards the “Dangerous Boys”. However, the segment which supposedly contained Seohyun losing her temper differed from what fans expected, as Seohyun said only one sentence rather than “exploding with anger”. Instead, it was an unaired clip that showed Seohyun voicing her displeasure at the way the “Dangerous Boys” were living their lives.
The clip, released on JTBC’s official website for the show, revealed that Seohyun in fact said, “You shouldn’t live like this! I’m getting very upset right now.”
Taeyeon, unable to hide her surprise, repeated, “Seohyun! Seohyun said…!”, but could not finish her sentence because she burst into laughter.
Seohyun continued with “I’m really upset right now. I didn’t know I would react this way either,” and amidst Taeyeon’s continuing laughter, said “This is getting me really upset. I’m just going to listen for now.”
Taeyeon explained, “She’s not a person who speaks informally to a person she’s just met for the first time. This is a first for me. I’ve known her for years now.”
Check out all of unreleased footage from the first episode of “Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys” below.
Previous article from 12/16/11:
On the new JTBC variety program, “Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys”, Girls’ Generation will be helping the “Dangerous Boys” and watch them mature and transform. They will be acting as mentors and will be providing the boys with personal advising sessions and training.
Seohyun, who is known as the “Girl Who Lives by the Rules”, lost her temper on the first day she met the “Dangerous Boys”.
Seohyun kept a stiff face when she was viewing the lives of the boys through a monitor. After the video clip, she showed her pity saying, “I think the boys are living without dreams or thoughts.”
Though she remained calm during the personal advising session during which the boys answered with careless words, Seohyun later surprised everyone when she exploded with anger by saying, “You shouldn’t live like this.”
Seohyun later showed her determination and said, “I’m upset that the boys seem to live without thinking about anything and without a dream,” and, “I want to find a dream for the boys.”
The first broadcast of “Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys” will air on December 18th.

She finally acting like a boss
wow! so exciting! can`t wait to watch it!
That’s our Maknae.
hahaha she’s co cute !
The title is too worrisome. After reading through the article, it doesn’t seem like that much of a big deal. But then again, it’s either they’re trying to make something out of Seohyun’s upright personality or they’re just sugarcoating her outburst. Either way, it doesn’t seem right. I hope they know what they’re doing making a show like this with our girls.
The power of maknae! <3
YEAHHH!!!!! I’m sop excited to see this program~ finally I could see another side of Seohyun, I hope there’s something more I could find in this program~ Thx JTBC~!
Mmm yep she really is passionate and serious abt wanting to help them…that’s something really special abt SNSD…they really totally put their hearts to accomplishing something after commiting to it..and are really sincere!! Mm I jus hpe it’ll turn out okay and thaat the girls won’t b hurt (physically or emotionally) trying to help these guys…seriously..they shld realise hw priviledged they aare…anyw…stay well andd keep strong girls…cheering for u all the way frm whrever I am :)
I don’t think she really lost her temper it sounds like she just really cares a lot about what those guys are doing with their lives. Awesome maknae as always haha
Typical maknae. ^^
Honestly, I was so surprise to here her lose her temper though. That’s just so not SeoHyun. But how her words were formatted, it doesn’t really look like she exploded with the words, but rather there was a strike of venom within her words.
She’s so sweet though, worrying about the boys and wanting to get them somewhere in life. (:
as expected of the maknae ! (:
wow! the power of maknae!
That’s so like our maknae allright :P
Wow, I think that the boys should be honored to have the girls be mentors to them. I’m sure that there are other people out there who would want the girls to be their mentors.
I hope that they will take what Seohyun say into consideration. :)
Woah..intense, it’s a really surprising matter considering Seohyun is so reserve and quiet, really unexpected. Definitely looking forward to the episode.
Find me a dream too =(
Wow. I can see Seohyun’s determination from here. Dream is a word very important to her.
It’s like the light that guides her in pursuing and doing almost everything. With this, it’s
not surprising that she can be upset seeing people without their own dreams. Very mature
of her and inspiring indeed!
Be a delinquent citizen and a drain on society. Get mentored by GG. I see a connection here that sends the wrong message… There are much more people in the world deserving of GG’s presence.
Omo.. Seohyun bursting?! Can’t wait to watch this… those dangerous boys deserve it *envy envy* ><
wow, this is really interesting, hope i can get to watch this soon
i couldn’t expect any less from Seohyun!, she is so smart even when she is the youngest on girls generation, to me she is so mature than anyone in the group….good for them!, somebody is really caring.
So as far as I can tell, I think, in American English at least, “At-Risk Boys (Youth)” better captures the plight of the lads in question.
As far as Seohyun’s words, hey, I’m a little older than those five, but the Girls can already count me as a successful “conversion.” I’d been living for a while in a senseless state – as I put it I had destroyed my will – but learning about the Girls’ personal stories really helped me find out, like, what matters to me and why I should do anything about those things. So hey. Thanks again to them for that.
Although I was expecting Seohyun to be upset at the boys from the beginning due to clashing morals or something, I didn’t expect that she put so much priority on having a ‘dream’ to live for that she actually got mad at the boys for not having one. I guess that’s how she lived as a trainee…
I already feel the jealousy of these lucky boys spending that much time with my girls T_T
This is one of the reasons why I find Seohyun so amazing. She is a positive force to help people have better lives.
