Girls’ Generation will be ending their promotion of “The Boys” this week, and they began their goodbye stages on M!Countdown.
Instead of performing “The Boys”, the girls surprised fans by singing the ballad “How Great Is Your Love”. The members were dressed in colorful dresses that matched the spirit of the song.
Though Yoona was absent due to filming her drama, Girls’ Generation gave a passionate performance as they closed out their long awaited return on M!Countdown.
During this promotion, Girls’ Generation won a triple crown on M!Countdown, winning three times in a row. Since they achieved the triple crown, they were ineligible for another win this week.

So beautiful and I’m happy that I stayed up and saw it live, I wish Yoona was with them though. It’s her filming drama cause for the absence. Angels did a wonderful job and they always have the best ballads and I love it when they perform them live. Goodbye stage for The Boys but they can always still continue to win on Music Bank, so SONEs let’s go for 10 wins and break Gee record of 9 wins. I know it’s tough and more tougher competition coming too but I think it’s possible to continue to win straight. I’m being greedy but I just want us to try and go 10 straight wins for The Boys. Buy the album from yesasia, dvdheaven and kpoptown sites that counts toward the Hanteo weekly charts. We buy the physical album and let KSONEs do the harder part which is digital downloads and the other things that adds up. MuBank scores/rules are like this —> 5% album sales, 65% digital download sales and 35% t.v./radio broadcast (something like that), so KSONEs have it harder in a way. Oh my gosh, their performance was lovely and graceful…♥ It would’ve been 100% complete with Yoona there. could someone explain the meaning of “goodbye” in this article?
it means that they won’t be performing The Boys on either Mnet Countdown and Inkigayo shows anymore because of the 3x crown they’ve won and that’s the limit on those shows. I think they can still continue to win on Music Bank as many time as possible but I don’t think they’ll be performing The Boys on that show either. Just maybe the song will be on the charts competing with other artists.
