In a poll held on KTmusic.co.kr, Girls’ Generation was chosen fifth for the best singers in Korea in the past 20 years.
The poll was held from October 1st to the 28th, and 300 people in their 20s to 60s voted on the best singers. Girls’ Generation was ranked among Korean legends such as Cho Yongpil, Lee Seungchul, Seo Taiji, Kim Gunmo, and Boohwal. Of the people that voted, those in their 30s were the ones who voted most for Girls’ Generation. It’s incredible that such a young group, having debuted just over four years ago, is right up there with legendary artists that were popular in the 90s.
Not only is Girls’ Generation recognized for their talent, but for their songs as well. “Gee” was chosen as the 10th best song in the past 20 years. It seems as though everyone can tell that there is something special about these nine girls, as they continue to gain more and more popularity worldwide.

Baby Soshi in the list of legendary Korean singers who are 2x/3x times their ages. Soshi are incredible girls and that’s why a lot of people gravitate to them. To some people they might not be the greatest singers but their positive personalities, charms, beauty, talents, hard work etc is what people appreciate the most. SNSD is ray of sunshine to many people especially to SONEs and this calls for us being by their side through everything. Congrats ladies and well done you have set another record of being the youngest legendary singers among older legendary Korean singers and in such short time too. Woo thank god for Kenzie and The E. Tribe folks that created “Gee” for Soshi to sing. Who would have thought that song would set records and be “song of the decade” and put Soshi on the top. Also the MV being #1 most viewed kpop video. This is amazing…they’ve been out 4 years, and they’re amongst others who have been around for a decade, I don’t think there’s anyone else that can do what they did. It’s not just the younger generation that’s voting for them, it’s people in their 30s who are giving them votes.
