Imagination is one of the things that no girl lacks. Every girl posses the power of an imagination, the potential to create non-existent fantasies, and the will to dream up a new world of their own.

My arm reached out and picked out a white one piece from the rest of the rack. The one piece had a simple cut with a bit of white fluff at the top. The design looked special.

There isn’t a single girl that doesn’t hold onto that unique specialty to envision her own world, and her chance to hope for a better world, opposite of the one she lives in: her own perfect little world.

I could feel my eyes twinkle as I glanced over at you. You sat on my bed, oblivious to my gaze, flipping through the magazine you found next to you. There was a blank expression on your face, with an aura of boredom surrounding you.

Imagination, an ability that every girl treasures, whether she knows it or not. An ability, that could easily be a double-edged knife. A girl’s imagination, was the ultimate source that turned every simple thing into something a thousand times more complex.

I picked up another black lace dress with a neatly tied cute bow and held it in front of myself. I stared at it for a minute before let my imagination run wild. I dreamt up how dazzling I would look with the dress, and imagined the amount of dramatic attention I could call upon myself. An outfit that seemed to be designed especially for me that would cause everyone to drop their jaws - including you. It was this one.

I hid the dress behind my back and slipped into the bathroom, indicating to you that I was finally going to begin preparing for the banquet at the awards ceremony tonight. I smiled before I stepped into the bathroom and you nodded dismissively.

Within 10 minutes I was ready and peeked out into the room to find you lying on the bed staring blankly at the roof. I coughed gently to alert you of my presence before I opened the door to it’s full capacity, and revealed me in the black lace dress, with the bow tied neatly to one side. I waited patiently for your response to my choice of clothing - the exact reason I had pestered you into my room to begin with.

I watched as the blank expression on your face froze and changed to an unreadable expression. You walked toward me, glancing from head to toe and back, all without a word. With each step you took forward, I took a step back until I felt my back against the wall. You placed your hand against the wall, between my waist and arm and kept me from squirming around. I looked away, yet I could feel your face move close to mine, until I could feel you breathe against my neck.

“The dress looks amazing on you,” You whispered into my ear.

“It makes you look sexy, and,” You paused. “And almost arousing.” You blew gently against the lobe of my ear that sent a chill down my back. The temperature in the room suddenly seemed to heat up immediately.

You caressed my cheek and I forced myself to look into your eyes. Your typical eye smile greeted me. You placed a gentle peck on my cheek before you stepped back and turned around to step out of the bathroom. You paused when you reached the door. Your voice was clearly, but the tone was oddly husky.

“I imagine the white one piece would look better on you. It’s a simple cut that matches you and draws out your features quite well - especially that thin and perfect waistline you possess. Besides, I don’t want a half dozen guys aroused and flirting with my girl. The one girl that belongs exclusively to me: in every possible way.”

At your words, I felt the undeniable warm glow swell from deep within my heart. At the same time, my face burned red as the hidden implication in the huskiness of your voice sunk in.

Imagination - every girl embraces it, either for one reason or another.
