About Me
Like most people living in the US, my first introduction to KPOP was Psy's "Gangnam Style". I was hooked and played that song and video hundreds of times. But, I figured I would move on like most other viral video fads. But in late January 2013, I randomly clicked on a related video of Girls Generation and nothing has been the same for me ever since. Many of you can relate.
I am what you would call an older fan. Older than a typical uncle or samchon fan. So there is no reason why I should be into KPOP or Girls Generation, but I am. I love music, ever since I was a kid growing up in the late 70's, early 80's (I said I was an older fan). But I stopped listening to American music a while ago. Then KPOP came along and of course SNSD. It was fun, entertaining and their music videos had that lively, enjoyable, "wow" factor that I missed from most American music.
Through KPOP, I have met many wonderful people from all over the world. They have encouraged me to travel to different parts of the world, jolted my creativity, and inspired me to be a better person. How can you not want to be a part of that?
