[120911] & [121011] Girls' Generation Tour 2011 in SG

10 December 2011 - 05:42 PM

Hello all S♥NEs out there, I'll be giving you guys a brief account of both nights! In one word, the concert was PERFECT.

No, even the system had its own flaws (the sound system uneven bass/screen outage for like 5 seconds etc). But it was perfect in the sense that the girls showed their truest selves to us fans and in return we gave them all the cheer that they deserved.

For the first night, I was in the mosh pit on the right side of the stage, standing quite near the centre aisle. But to get to that good spot, I had to go through 11 hours of waiting (10 hours sitting and 1 hour inside the moshpit standing) but it was all worth it. The girls performed their acts in rapid succession, striving to deliver whatever they could to us fans in the fastest time possible. It must've been tiring for them, especially after seeing them drink from bottles prepared and laid out by the stage and wiping their perspiration (SG is HOT). The most epic moment for me has to be their performance of RDR and The Boys, with Taeyeon's deafening Devil's Cry right before they performed RDR, and how the entire stadium sand along with The Boys - the GG was particularly awesome!

They walked around the stage as much as possible and tried their best to interact with every single S♥NE in the venue. I was especially fortunate to be standing in that spot where the members would take turn to stand and give provide us with fan-service. I managed to have eye contact with Sunny (MY BIAS!), Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Seohyun, and they showed me the "heart sign" when I showed it to them! Those brief moments of eye contact felt like an eternity! The fans in the mosh pits rushed towards the four edges whenever any of the girls went near a particular part of the stage on the ailse haha. Even towards the end, Sunny was sort of limping but she still smiled and was as cheerful as ever! Moments like this makes me respect them even more! No pictures for the first night as security was really tight in the mosh pits. :(

Now for the 2nd night! This time round I'm in the higher up Balcony seats but facing the stage with clear view. As per the first night, the concert didn't disappoint, but instead the girls seemed even more enthusiastic and we had the time of our lives! Oh and our brighter-than-mushrooms Tiffany let out some saliva as she was shouting for "Singapore, let me hear you SCREAMMMM!" at the start, it was one rare down-to-earth moment which really showed how the girls are excited and that they are just like us humans too! Sunny caught me looking at her through my binoculars when she was nearer towards my side, and she pointed at me through my Bino lens and smiled with full of aegyo! Gosh the effect was amplified as I viewed through the magnified image and my heart almost stopped (to have your Bias single you out is like OUT OF THIS WORLD)!

All of them tried their best to interact and talk with us during the rare chat sessions and we're absolutely thrilled to hear Seohyun speak to us in Mandarin! During their song "Complete", we had this fan event where everyone in the venue held up a piece of paper with the words "소녀시대 makes our lives complete" printed and showed them towards the ending of the song. Taeyeon actually cried at the sight! Awww! Tiffany and Sooyoung thanked us over and over during their ending speech, and asked us to show them once more, this time Jessica teared! Oh my gosh, my heart breaks at seeing the girls cry! Sooyoung then said: "I really think it's actually you S♥NEs who complete our lives!" That was just so touching and I almost cried as a guy! Then they started their farewell thanking speeches one by one, and the girls started dancing to thank us, Sunny and Yuri and Yoona were just so CUTE as they did their dorky dances and laughed like little kids!

The above three images are captured with my lousy camera phone, security was still tight.

These two nights finally made me understand the reason why there are so many S♥NEs out there; it made me remember why I became a S♥NE in the beginning; it made me love the girls even more so than ever! The girls promised to return again, and I just loved how Tiffany said: "I love you guys more than CHILLI CRABS (a local specialty which Yuri and Taeyeon mentioned during their speech)!"

And now I'm suffering from PGGCWS (Post Girls' Generation Concert Withdrawal Symptoms). Haha!
