In Topic: 09 - Lazy Girl (Dolce Far Niente)

01 December 2011 - 11:55 PM

The lyrics is by Kim Taeyoon, at first I was like, TAEYEON made the lyrics??!! then I was like, "wait, it's Kim TaeyOOn, okay..." hahahha, one of my favourite song, definitely, thanks for translating...

Yes the lyrics for this song is finally up! Thanks soo much!

I really like the lyrics for the song, because it casts being "lazy" in a different, better light. Being this kind of lazy means you actually have to be busy in the first place to be asking for a break, so I feel this really relates to the girls a lot. :)

I hope SNSD gets a chance to be "lazy girls" soon! :)

These. And much more. I grinned at all the "Jessica's themesong" comments (wait, that was one comment. But those comments thereabouts.)

At first when I listened to this song I actually didn't like it. But somehow it became one of my favourites after a few more listens, it's just so grrroooooooovy~. Something you can shake and wiggle dorkily to.

I would love to see a MV with a storyline of the girls relaxing in different casual scenes (sorta like ITNW) for this song. Which I guess would be slightly ironic since that would involve them working.. but anyway xD.

Learning about the lyrics made me love it even more. Thanks for translating

In Topic: 08 - Top Secret

01 December 2011 - 11:42 PM

Man, I can't believe how many people thought this song was a lot like Hoot. I mean, I get that there is that "Western film" sort of feel to it, but I really didn't think of Hoot when I was listening to it. Hoot was still like: Hoot hoot hoot~! (Cheery in a way), whereas Top Secret definitely had a slightly darker feel to it, even without knowing the lyrics.

I've been secretly waiting for this song's translations.
I read from twitter [I can't remember who tweeted it, I'm not sure if its @mrtakusi or another person] that this song is actually pertaining to saesang fans [Did I spell that right? lol]
and now I know why they say that.
The lyrics says it all, erasing their flaws when they are around, invading their privacy and stuff.
And to end in a good note :) Top Secret is a good song.

Anyway, I love this song about 500 times more than Hoot (which was a fun song too of course) just because of these lyrics. Girls fight BACK yo~ Crazy fans give them their effing SPACE damn it! I do not agree that being a performer means you completely resign first world rights to privacy (which some people seem to stoically advocate: Hey, they chose to be performers, therefore they knew this was coming.) No they didn't. Can one really argue that a kid that started this really -did-? And to -that- extent? No.

And since I believe this is seriously a message to the crazy fans, I'm going to take their lyrics more seriously. Woot for them having a life, and a different personality outside of TV (don't get me wrong, I love their personalities on shows and performance of course, but I'm just glad they have a life outside of it, I'm sure fans would like to know they're not fans of some perfect zombies), and liking people (or maybe going out).

In Topic: [OTHERS] Girls' Generation's "Thanks To" from 3rd Full Album...

FIRST OF ALL, Thank you for translating.
Thank taengbear for clarifying Hyo's extremely short message.

But I agree that the thing that actually caught my attention the most was Tiffany's "bf" statement. At first I didn't know how I feel about it, although after reading various people's response confused between "best friend" and "boyfriend"... uhh... I think Fany knows enough English to know "bbf" is bestfriends.

SOOO if it really is her announcing to her boyfriend her love.. ^___^ keke.. well, truthfully I'm a bit undecided, but I would defend her for her right to love as she likes. Truthfully, she's a gorgeous young girl, full of emotion... I think it's entirely possible for her to be in love. And I wish her the best of luck in her relationship (if she is in one) because I think as an entertainer it's incredibly hard to be in a relationship.

Does anyone think any of the other girls might also be involved in a relationship? Like Sooyoung? .__. Her message..?

Anyway, enough speculation. ^__^ I love how Sooyoung blesses everyone owning the album. I can't wait 'til mine arrives from the group order.

SNSD ALL THE FRIKKIN WAY. Keep supporting~
(Honestly, reading all this brings nostalgia to ME... ahaha, been a fan for a while now... Soshi is the first and last pop group I will follow like this... Maturing with the girls ^__^... my old fellow fans feel this right?)

But I'm sure true SONEs feel the same. :)

Thanks for translating.
I wasn't sure how I felt about it in the beginning, but as the perfs came out I came to love the fun...ness? of this song. :) And the lyrics are not bad! (Not that they are ever...well...maybe "Oh!" wasn't my cup of tea..but anyhow)

:)

In Topic: [OTHERS] Interview with PD of Invincible Youth (translation)

To be honest I watched like the first two episodes and it was sort of awkward and then I was like: no.
I didn't really want to admit, but at that time I could sort of feel the "competitiveness" of the groups? I don't know, I am used to the nice harmony of groups in general.
But after reading this I think I'll give IY a try. :D Group interbonding ftw~

Thanks for translating this :) Must have taken a while~ ^___^~
