I first heard about SNSD in 2008 during a dinner with a Korean businessman while discussing my best friend’s flight to Korea. According to him, they were the most popular girl group in Korea when I thought it was Wonder Girls. At that same night, I Googled it. Tired from travelling home that night, after I opened Wikipedia and learned that they are composed of nine girls who I didn’t bother to look at due to slow internet connection, I slept.

Two years later, my best friend asked me to study the dance in the video which they have to perform in front of their Korean boss in their Christmas party. The song was Gee. At that very moment I was infected by the Soshi virus. I don't know what hi me. I can’t stop browsing the net, looking for sites which will give me the most information to know the girls more which I should have known two years ago if my net connection was faster. I looked for their shows (I already know their music are daebak), mostly reality, to see more of their true selves (they’re true all the time anyway). I watched Hello Baby SNSD and found myself falling in love with the girls and their bond. I wished I learn Korean language so I won’t be needing subs when I watched, or help other SONE’s sub other Soshi shows.

I am an Unnie to the girls, a nobody in millions of SONEs around the globe. They might say I’m old. But my love, support and admiration to So Nyu Shi Dae will never get old and will not just be a nobody. Let's go Soshi let's go!!!
