[10.22.2011] - [10.24.2011] Working with SM, SMTown NYC + Weekend, Meeting SoShi

19 December 2011 - 11:16 PM

10.22.2011 - 10.24.2011
New York, USA

The proof is in all the pictures & fancams, so those who believe me, enjoy!
(There are pictures throughout the post)

Those who do not, haters gonna hate.

How do I start...?

From October 22, 2011 through October 24, 2011, from the moment I got to New York at 2:00 AM Friday night (Saturday morning), through the weekend, into the SMTown 2011 Live in NYC concert, and until I left Monday afternoon...

I got to work with SM! :P

For those of you with short attention spans and just want the points, here you go:

- This was the most UNBELIEVABLE weekend and most UNBELIEVABLE experience of my LIFE!
- It was also the most exhausting, but most rewarding weekend of my life. I cannot stress enough the rewarding part.
- Interacted, escorted, helped, etc. with all the S.M. Entertainment artists, obviously including our girls, SoShi!
- Wasn't allowed to take pictures or videos while working, so I don't have much, sorry.
- Comment or question below!

For those of you with long attention spans and are interested in the whole story, the details, my reactions/thoughts, etc.: Please continue reading! (It will be an extremely long post FYI hahahahaha a lot to talk about)

I hope and I think this will be worth the read.

I don't know why I am writing this NOW, its nearly the end of December...ugh...long overdue. It's finals week....but hey, writing this is more fun, right? Hahahaha

Just to let you guys know, I will be REMOVING parts of my story regarding my staff duties and the other S.M. Entertainment artists.
Since this forum is Soshified, I am taking out what I am calling "unrelated" parts about SHINee, Super Junior, DBSK, BoA, and f(x).

If you guys want those parts, let me know! I'll edit the post with them!
I'll also make chapters in bold so you can scroll where you want to.

NOTE: Exciting stuff starts at Ch. 3

So once again...How do I start? Lol, so much....so much to talk about.
So for the entire weekend, plus Monday the 24th of October, and most importantly the concert...

I got to work with SM!

***Ch. 1: Before leaving to NYC***

How did this happen? Well, I know some people, who know some people, who happened to know someone who works for S.M. Entertainment. Sorry guys! I don't know if I can say those things lol. I had no idea that this connection existed, nor did I know about my friend knowing someone who worked for SM. This opportunity COMPLETELY popped up out of NOWHERE...nowhere. I had no idea about any of this beforehand.

My friend calls me the Tuesday (I think it was?) before the weekend of the concert and asks,
"How would you react if you met the girls (SoShi) in person?"
Me: "Uhh...well...you know I'd go absolutely insane...pass out, faint, spaz 'til I explode, hahahaha...Why are you asking this?"
Friend: "Well, would you like to help out?"
Me: "...What do you mean...'help out'?"

After that, he explained to me the details. For no pay, I would be an SM staff member for the duration of the time that SM was in New York City. "You could potentially be in the same car as them." he said. I was speechless....my mouth wide open..just absolutely struck with confusion, excitement, worry, curiosity, bewilderment, everything.

I said, "Are you serious? .... How do you have access to this or....what? I mean how...can you get me this opportunity?"

He said he'd explain later, but he had to make sure, 100%, that I could DO MY JOB, CONTROL myself, and FOCUS. Otherwise, I can kiss this goodbye. I told him I could do it, that I could control myself, be serious, and do whatever is needed (and I did do this when the time came). He knows me well, he knows that I could do all these things. Outside of my extreme, diehard fanboy-ness, for those of you that don't know, I am a very controlled, calm person. I can be extremely serious if I have to be (to the point where I scare my little sister to tears sad.png lolol) but don't get me wrong, I love being goofy.

ANYWAY
I said, "YES. I'll do it. I'm on board." This was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I HAD to take it. HAD TO.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

***Ch. 2: Arriving in NYC & Pre-work stuff***

Let's fast forward to Friday night!
After waiting for HOURS in completely standstill traffic on the Jersey turnpike in the Megabus, I FINALLY arrived in New York City! It was about, 2:30 AM or 3:00 AM. After getting off the bus, I headed straight to the hotel where we (my friends and I) were staying. It was right across Madison Square Garden. The rest of my friends were hungry so they went to Koreatown to eat, but I was dead tired so I just chilled/tried to sleep in the room.

Later at about 4:00 AM (still Friday night/Saturday morning), my "manager" (the person who was in charge of ALL that was about to happen the following couple days, and now my noona hahahaha) came to my hotel to quickly go over stuff. Boy was it quick. She quickly went over what I'd be doing, the schedule for the weekend/concert, staff etiquette, etc. I had SO MANY things I wanted to ask her, but she was BUSY. You guys have no idea...no idea how busy this woman was, when I first met her at my hotel, I could already see how exhausted she was.

She left, and there I stood just wondering, worrying...I was so nervous..NERVOUS...zomg!
Finally, I went to the room to sleep. I needed all the sleep I could get. I had to get be at my manager's hotel at 8:00 AM sharp. Also, I had no idea how LITTLE sleep I'd be getting over the course of the next 3 days.

***Ch. 3: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, day before SMTown concert***

It's 8:00 AM Saturday morning (Oct. 22nd), I'm at my manager's hotel just freaking out worrying about what would happen now. She comes down from her room, we rally up the other staff people under her, meet up, talk, discuss again what the schedule is, what we'd be doing, who is with who, staff etiquette and manners, etc.

No asking for pictures, not taking pictures while working, no asking for autographs, don't talk to them unless you're talked to, be professional, etc. (Technically staff members are not supposed to be fans...)

NOTE: I am now skipping over everything (about 12 hours) until Saturday night (22nd) as it is "unrelated".

***Ch. 4: SoShi arriving at the hotel***

Word spreads that Girls' Generation is arriving at JFK soon. The crowds at the hotel (where my manager, SM staff, and SM artists are staying) and the crowds airport grew into this massive tsunami of people. The excitement/energy was overwhelming. My manager calls me saying that SoShi has landed, and will be arriving at the hotel soon.

It's about 9? or 10:00 PM. I watched as the massive, pink SMTown bus rolls up the street to the hotel. I'm just thinking, "OMG....Oh my god...this is it...here they are....the goddesses of my life..." (XD XD hahahahaha)
The the NYC police and hotel security helped to clear the crowds off the street, and make a pathway for us to escort the girls from the bus into the hotel. The screaming was deafening lol.

My manager gets off the bus, tells me and the others to get the elevators ready. We (staff) stood around the bus, and the bus door, waiting for further instruction. I was standing at the bus door, looking up into the bus. I caught a glimpse of Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, my manager was standing on the bus steps talking with the girls' manager. The fans around are screaming, yelling, roaring, snapping pictures and videos, maybe even crying who knows lol. I was floating for a second. I swear, after all this time, finally seeing SoShi IN PERSON. I was gone, I left this world, in awe. Is this a dream? I thought. My face was stone serious, but inside I was SCREAMING LIKE A LITTLE GIRL, JUMPING UP AND DOWN DYING OF HAPPINESS.

I suddenly snapped back to reality when I heard my manager yell at me. "...huh?" I said. "Go double check and make sure the elevators are ready!" she said. I sprinted around the bus back into the entrance to make sure elevators were good to go. I ran back, said OK, and we began escorting the girls off the bus into the hotel. It was very interesting...this moment...the first time seeing the girls in real life...I felt SO CLOSE to them, like we've been best friends since childhood or even soulmates tongue.png ...at the same time I felt SO FAR and so distant to them....you know?

We escorted the girls in one group of 4, then the remaining 5 as a second group. I forget exactly who was with who, but based off fancams (checking myself out with the girls XD HAHA) looks like group 1 was Yoona, Yuri, Hyoyeon, and Jessica . Group 2 was Tiffany, Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Sunny, and Seohyun.

(For those of you who were at the hotel waiting...you might remember me XD lololol
I was wearing a black button up dress shirt open at the collar, jeans, white shoes, spiked hair, shiny watch)

Here is me escorting Taeyeon (behind her on the left)

***Ch. 5: In the hotel***

Remember, it's still Saturday night, 22nd, around 11:00 PM now.
As they entered the hotel into the elevator, I was hoping to be able to ride with them, but it was packed already :'( so I took the stairs. Since no one was around, as I was sprinting up the stairs I screamed out loud with all my happiness and spazzing, "OH MY GAWD! AAAHHHH! I CANT BELIEVE THEYRE HERE! HOLY ---- ! OIAREJTAIERJNMTG94JMT39MI AAHHHH!" At the hotel, the main lobby was PACKED with people, SM staff members, other guests, etc. So we took the girls, ALL their luggage, and their close staff (managers, etc.) to a "sub-lobby" of sorts. More like another floor that was big and open, like a waiting area.

I stood there, again, IN AWE. THIS WAS SO SURREAL. My mind was floating, I could NOT believe this was happening, I swear this must have been a dream. I was freaking out on the inside of my head, but facially calm. I just stood there trying to look handsome XD hahaha (I'm not a very good looking guy, but I tried). I just stood there watching the girls. They were chatting with each other, or just sitting, talking with close staff members. I stood like...eh, 5 feet? away from them, just thinking "Z O M G... I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM STANDING THIS CLOSE TO THEM IN REAL LIFE" Earlier, as I was moving their luggage, I was also thinking "OH MY GAWD I AM TOUCHING THE GIRLS' LUGGAGE AND MOVING IT FOR THEM"

Jessica was standing across from me to my left, away from the other members, sunglasses on, with her arms crossed, holding her bag. HAHAHAHAH XD gawd, she is so CHIC and so adorable! I LOVE IT! Then, with her cute, high pitched, angelic voice, she said in Korean, "Oh...it would be nice if we could go up to our rooms..." I felt bad we couldn't get her up there sooner, hell, I would have bought an entire suite for her and the girls if I could.

(We were still getting all the frenzy and chaos together, getting room keys, organizing who is where, accounting for luggage, etc. SO MUCH was done last minute...poor planning made things so crazy 24/7.)

I'll never forget that (or this whole experience). Whew...She...Is....GORGEOUS...I mean, GORJESS! hehehe
But yeah, all the girls: Taeng, Yoong, Yul, Sica, Fany, Seororo, Sooyoung, Sunny, Hyo... after seeing them in real life up close, words cannot describe their beauty...and I mean holy f--- they are beautiful....STUNNINGLY FLAWLESS. Flawless. And I hate to say this but a lot of the time I hear so many people say that Hyoyeon is ugly. Well all I have to say to them is YOU COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG SIR OR MADAM, because Hyoyeon is b-e-a-utifully gorgeous and stunning and flawless like you would not believe.

Yoona was sitting on the arm of a chair talking with the other girls, Tiffany, Sunny, all the girls were standing around together. By the way....Yoona....not really chic, I mean she is, but it's more like....she's just a DIVA. D-I-V-A. Omg, she is truly a goddess, she even has this goddess aura around her. I literally, literally felt burdened to be around her. BURDENED. I felt like "Oh gawd, I am not good enough and not worthy to be in this room with your great majesty Yoong." It is very intimidating to be around her hahahahah. (I mean it was intimidating to be around all the girls, cause its them! you know?! the idols and angels of my life! hahahah it's SNSD! how can you not be intimidated? It was just more realized with Yoona)

Yuri, Sooyoung were talking with one of the close staff members. By the way, Sooyoung...whew...she is TALL...very tall hahaha. And Sunny...well you all know hahaha shortyy dangshin team ftw! I was just watching them, adoring them, spazzing in my head...gawd what an experience. lol. We finally got things together and had rooms ready, distributed room keys, etc. We didn't bother with the main elevators since they were being used so heavily, plus we didn't feel like dealing with "people" we took the cargo elevator. Plus, the cargo elevator fit all 9 girls plus some staff.

Tiffany's cousins came as well, and she was so happy to see them and hugged them lol. I was like aaaaawwwww. As we were taking the girls to ride the cargo elevator, I talked to Tiffany!
Tiffany asked ME, yes ME, not the other staff, but ME! lololol
She asked me, in English, if her cousins could ride in the elevator with them.
*Pointing to her cousins* "Can they ride up with us?"
Unfortunately, the policy is no.

You have no idea how badly I did not want to tell Tiffany no.
It's Tiffany for christ's sake, TIFFANY! Of So Nyuh Shi Dae! This girl can melt the hearts of every single man in existence, past, present, and future with her smile! She could have ended both World Wars if she was alive back then just by her warm heart and beautiful personality, and again her eye smile!

You also have no idea how hard it was for me to tell her no. But I had to, it was my job.
"Uhh...no....I'm sorry, but they (cousins) can't. They have to go up separately....Sorryyyyyyy..."
She replied with, "Oh, okay."

I felt so bad, so sorry to her, XD hahahahaha
So the girls went up to their rooms, got settled in, some slept. Then we delivered all the luggage to their respective owners, some belonged to staff, some to the girls, etc.
The girls really needed their rest and sleep, but some of them went out to roam about NYC lololol.

***Ch. 6: Side notes***

I don't know if you SONE's know...but these girls...are some of the hardest working people in existence. They are EXHAUSTED like you would not believe, to the point where they get physically ill. They don't get much sleep, they are constantly going here and there, doing this and that, performing or shooting for something, etc. Almost all the girls had colds and were sick, or had fevers. They're tired, and in pain, and it HURT me...IT HURT ME SO MUCH as a SONE to see them like this. These girls are truly hard workers and deserve all their success and everything that they have accomplished so far. Truly inspiring, SO NYUH SHI DAE FIGHTING!!! HIMNAESAEYO!

All I've had to eat for the entire day (of Saturday, 22nd) was a small breakfast sandwich at 7:30 AM. And I only had 3 hours of sleep the night before. I, too, was exhausted, just blown out of my mind. I was on my feet all day, running around, lifting heavy luggage, blocking fans or escorting...WORKING...and physically I was done as well. hahahah so tired...so tired lol

It's now late Saturday night (early Sunday morning) at around 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM, after all this chaos, my work didn't end just yet. Originally, we were supposed to roam the halls, patrolling the hotel floors, making sure the girls were safe, and being weary of fans trying to sneak around. And that was supposed to go on ALL NIGHT...aka no sleep. HOWEVER, change of plans occurred. The security/bodyguards who flew in from Korea, took care of that. Me and the other staff had to go to Madison Square Garden (MSG) to help setup for the next day.

We were waiting inside MSG at the back entrance, waiting for instruction. All the equipment was there, stuff to be organized and setup. We were all falling asleep or just pooped out tired. We stood around for half an hour or so because the MSG staff were being difficult with the head SM staff. The head SM staff couldn't get us through the checkpoint because according to the MSG staff, we didn't have credentials which were supposed to be taken care of already. So, we lucked out! The head staff members told us to go, that we were done for now, that they'll take care of all the stuff, equipment, organizing, setting up, etc.

Since we were all starving, we went to Koreatown for "dinner" lol, it was so late XD. After a much deserved, delicious meal, I headed back to the hotel and just....died on my bed into sleep lol. Needed all the sleep I could get, I had to be up at 8:00 AM the next day, Sunday, 23rd, day of the concert.

***Ch. 7: Sunday, Oct. 23rd, day of the SMTown concert***

If you've made it this far and are still reading, thank you and you're awesome. lol.

8:00 AM, Oct. 23rd, outside W Hotel (where SM was staying), waiting for instruction from my manager. Once again, even though today was the day of the concert, I had no idea what to expect from that today. In the morning, SoShi and all the other artists headed to MSG for sound check and rehearsals. I got to ride the pink SMTOWN bus with them and all the artists (VERY exciting haha). BUT, of course we sat separate from them. All the artists sat in the back, staff in the front, I was sitting in the frontmost seat with one of the managers. I couldn't help but laugh watching fans chase after the bus LOL. After arriving at MSG, all the fans were already there waiting, we parked in a fenced off lane to get all the artists and staff in, then unload all the equipment and outfits and luggage. The artists got off first, then us.

Sunday, Oct. 23rd, early morning, SoShi boarding the bus, heading to Madison Square Garden for soundcheck/rehearsals.

I was jumping on the inside, starting to spaz out because I figured this was the closest I was going to get to the girls. The distance between the aisle and my seat...just a couple inches lol. My eyes were widening and I just stared in wonder, I couldn't help it! We already greeted each other and MADE EYE CONTACT many times earlier before and on Saturday, but just to be polite and since the girls are so polite, if they look up we just naturally greet each other. Yeah, all I get to say is "Ahnyonghasaeyo." and bow my head, but making eye contact with them and having them greet me back was...special.....very special for me....that made my day...made my weekend, made my LIFE XD hahahaha. Refueled me with an overflowing burst of energy.

Tiffany had so much stuff XD as she was walking down the aisle off the bus, she had her purse, iPad or book (I can't remember) and like 2 or 3 drinks from Burger King lololololol. Everything was on the verge of falling, I wanted to help her so badly and so so sorry just watching her fiddle with her stuff trying to hold everything. I wanted to help so badly and carry the drinks for her, but I couldn't, just had to sit there until the artists got off. She dropped one (empty) and I was IMMEDIATELY within a flash second like ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG THIS MY OPPORTUNITY GO GO GO GO NAO!!! And I shot down to pick it up and hand it to her, but she picked it up before I could sad.png.

***Ch. 8: At MSG***

QUICK NOTE: After arriving at MSG and moving ALL the equipment, luggage, stuff inside to the dressing rooms or wherever they went (which was TIRING AS HELL) I got to watch such a CUTE Taeyeon moment which made me start spazzing and laughing (on the inside) as I left the dressing rooms. She was talking with her manager, and I couldn't hear them clearly, but the manager mentioned something about having to rehearse and do something else, with very little time to do it. And Taeyeon's reaction was just.... AHHHH! XD SO CUTE lolol She made like this whimpering, sad puppy dog face, it was like an "Oh nooo" expression. And her eyes when she did this... AHH! again so cute. She hunched over this table throwing her arms and putting her head down on it (like when something bad happens and you throw your arms on a table you know?) Then she stood back up and just laughed. lolololol ahhh Taengoo yah XD so adorable.

NOTE: I am now skipping over more "unrelated stuff"...about 3 hours worth after arriving at MSG with SM.

It is now about noon, or 1:00 PM, we've finished everything...or everything that we were told to do for now. Of course, the work never ends, there was still SO MUCH to do. HOWEVER, my manager knew that I was a die-hard extreme fanboy SONE hahahaha. So, she said to me, "Ok, we'll continue doing (whatever it was)...go watch the rehearsals, I know you've been waiting to. Hahah." I just smiled with glee and was like "YES! Thank you thank you thank you!"

I ran straight to the stage, where the GA seating was for the concert, except since this was rehearsal and sound check, I could literally stand next to the stage (in the GA area), and watch. Looking back though....I don't know why I didn't watch from backstage...that would have been no problem...Anyway, when I went to go watch, the girls were wandering around the stage, talking, having staff prepare mics, taking pictures, etc. I watched Seohyun rehearse "Way Back Into Love" duet with Kyuhyun....wow..I was smiling and floating in the sky the whole time...just ohmy.png ..she is the most beautiful woman on earth. I was like omg I'm in heaven right now. This heavenly aura that shines around her..so lovely...glowing purity and innocence and beauty just.....god...wow..just amazing lollololol.

Afterwards, all 9 girls together rehearsed "Run Devil Run" and "Oh!". Technically I was still working so I couldn't let out all my fanboyness and screams like a little girl; but I stood there in awe, giggling, and singing along, doing hand motions. SoShi is so amazing..amajjang...these were the greatest moments of my life, I cannot tell you enough hahaha. And most importantly, the SURREALITY of it all....the SURREAL feeling...."is this really happening? is this real?" you know? Cannot express that feeling enough.

NOTE: I am now skipping over more "unrelated stuff" ...about 6 hours worth.

***Ch. 9: Showtime!***

It's around 6:30 PM just before it was time for SMTown Live in New York! was supposed to begin! Woohoo! The excitement! AHHH!

Here were my passes / credentials:

yq115Mh.jpg

TTadYJn.jpg

All the fans are in the venue, screaming, eagerly awaiting for the artists to come out and start performing. The energy was overwhelming. Meanwhile, off stage, artists are waiting too, finishing their makeup, outifts, hair, etc. Staff are running around, literally sprinting from here to there, everyone has different things to do. Crews from Korea are filming, there's a quick press conference (which I'm sure you all watched later). So on and so forth. I was just being given all these things thrown at me. "Quickly, hurry, RUN! Go find this person and tell them this." or "Carry this, take this to so and so." or "Make sure....blah blah."

After finishing my tasks, and just sort of walking around, hanging out, grabbing something to eat off this little snack table lol, trying to get as much time with the girls as I could, I was waiting outside their dressing room just standing. *Hears click of the door opening* And out came all the girls...all 9...in their sparkly gold and black outfits, full make up, hair done, mic packs, etc.

ohmy.png

I was like...freezing and melting at the same time...again, just tried to look handsome as possible (ugh wae can't I be more good looking ffffuuuu haha)...Now here, this very moment...was one of the highlights of the night....of my life rather lol. Serious moment right here. Standing there, directly in front of all the girls, as they came out from the room one by one...Getting to make eye contact with them, greet them (greeting including bowing), and have them greet me back....THAT....THAT was a truly unforgettable and truly special time and experience for me. ^^ teehee ^^ happy.png

***Ch. 10: Concert Starts***

For the beginning like....15 minutes of the concert, SoShi wasn't performing, it was introductions of the concert, and there was catering backstage....this means FOOD...muwahaha, much neeeded food. Again, like nothing to eat all day, and very little sleep. So I just sat down, finally got some down time, no stress, and EAT!

Before SoShi's first time going out on stage, I watched them as they came out from one of the dressing rooms after they did a quick interview/recording thing. As they came out, Seohyun was REALLY rehearsing her "talk" part for the introductions. Remember how she kept getting stuck with the word "here"? LOLOL so cute. Oh ma gawd. Seohyun seemed really worried about messing up and she kept repeating her "talk" part over and over saying it together with her manager, asking if it was right. XD adorable. Seohyun really pays attention and works hard.

Fortunately, during the concert, there actually wasn't much to do! Yay! hahaha
My manager let me watch the concert (for the most part)
You know what this means...I was going to spend every minute trying to get as much time with SoShi as I could.
So here's what I did:

Whenever SoShi was performing on stage, I would go out into the GA audience, go right up to the stage and just let it all out. LET IT ALL OUT. Let out all the built up fanboyness, spazzing, screaming, and EXCITEMENT and happiness from inside me. I was jumping up and down, screaming like a little girl, calling out their names, waving at them and waving frantically, trying to touch their hands. Woot! I can feel all that energy coming back as I'm writing this. I was singing the fanchants as loud as I could, doing the hand motions, and just ENJOYING the concert and the girls. (I wonder if they recognized me...like if they noticed I was a staff member, yet there I was spazzing and screaming my butt off for them in the audience...hahah if they did notice it must have been funny)

Whenever SoShi was NOT performing on stage, I'd go back through security into the backstage area and go wherever they go. I just tried to be in the vicinity, get as close to them as possible, or just you know "be with them" hahahaha. So since I am allowed to go wherever I wanted to go, that's how I was able to. So for instance, if they were waiting backstage or chilling backstage talking, I'd just walk up to where they were and stand there lol. Couldn't really go into the dressing rooms...and you know why lol. Usually when they weren't performing they would sit on these trunks backstage, near the tech equipment, and be chatting with each other. I would stand to the side like...oh 4 feet from them. Again....so surreal, couldn't believe this was happening. Freaking out inside, everything. Sigh...how can one person be so wonderful? How can one person be so lovely? Let alone, a group of NINE? A group of nine girls, each being so wonderful and lovely.

Bonus:
Here's one very um...."funny" moment during the concert hahahaha. So as i said before, the girls were in those sparkly gold and black "Hoot" themed outfits. While backstage, I was standing near the girls and while they were chatting, sitting on those trunks, Taeyeon was standing in front of them talking too. I was standing to the side watching them and I happened to glimpse down...and what did I see? Well as you all know, the pants they wear are very short. In addition, the mic packs they wear on the back of their pants is quite big and heavy....and Taeyeon's pants were....well...they were sort of...drooping down you see....a lot....I tried to look elsewhere....but my eyes you see...kept...finding its way back to a certain spot. LOLOL this was all before they went out to perform the first stage, when they were waiting backstage.
I was just...smirking trying to hold in my giggles. Should I tell someone? If I do then they'll assume I was looking... hahaha
It seemed like Taeyeon didn't know and the other staff didn't know either. *cough cough* It's getting kinda steamy in here...hahahahaha. But don't worry nothing was "exposed" and eventually (after like 10 minutes) one of the coordinators noticed and helped Taeyeon pull up the shorts and fix it so it wouldn't droop down again. XD XD XD lolololol

NOTE: I am now skipping over the rest of the concert

***Ch. 11: After the Concert!***

For those who made it this far and are still reading, you are guys are amazing and thank you so much for your patience.

It's now around 11:00 PM? I had to leave the concert a little early, but no biggie, had to discuss/plan some things. After the concert was over, where did we go? Any guesses? We went out to eat! Who's "WE"? Well readers, "WE" would be myself, the SM staff, and the SM ARTISTS! Hohoho!

After the concert, around midnight? 12:30 AM?, we all went to a Korean Barbecue house in Koreatown, NYC...I forget the name of the restaurant though. Anyway, the entire meal, everyone eating there was COMPLETELY paid for by S.M. Entertainment. So I guess I can also say they paid for a meal lol. All the artists, their family members, and close staff ate on the upper level of the restaurant. Me and all the other staff members ate on the lower level, where the entrance was. It was funny looking out the door seeing ALLLLL these fans screaming and shouting. My table was closest to the entrance, right next to the door and the stairs leading to the upper level. This meal was delicious, zomg, so good, really worked hard for this meal. Finally go to kick back, talk, laugh, EAT.

As we ate, artists would come down and say thank you to everyone. If not while eating, the artists would say it as they left the restaurant. Some of the artists would just bow and announce it to everyone as they left, "Thank you! You worked hard today!" Other artists, while everyone was still eating, would go to every single table, bow and say, "Thank you! You worked hard today!" to the people at those tables. Point in case: Tiffany and Hyoyeon.

Talk about politeness, kindness, and gratitude. First, Tiffany came around, went to every single table, bowed and said, "Thank you! You worked hard today!" to the people at those tables. Later, Hyoyeon came around and did the same thing, going to every single table thanking them. Now since my table was closest to the stairs, when Tiffany came around, then later Hyoyeon, my table was the first one to be "thanked" by them. I sat at the edge of the table, so technically THIS was the moment where I'd be closest to them. I was very thankful to them rather, for taking the time to do this. Plus we SONEs love them too biggrin.png. Once again, the fluttering, the surreality, etc. But since we were eating....I was laid back and didn't hold in any spazzing or smiling or giggling, just let it out, no more seriousness.

NOTE: this isn't to say that the other members aren't as polite or as kind just cause they didn't do what Fany and Hyo did, trust me, they are all extremely the kindest, polite, lovely people on earth.

Later, Sunny came down to thank people. She didn't go to every table, but she came down the stairs and announced and bowed to everyone, "Thank you! You worked hard today!" She said it once, and everyone was like "Yes, yes." Then, I don't know why, maybe as a joke or to be cute, she said it a second time. And when she said it a second time, she said it louder, but used THE CUTEST MOST ADORABLE HIGH PITCHED MOUSE VOICE THAT THE HEAVENS WILL HEAR. Hahahahaha. I died. Z O M G I died like a thousand times inside hahahaha. My face just melted and I went into this like massive smile laughing, like Yoona's alligator laugh sort of. That was priceless.

During the time at the restaurant a lot of the artists would come down to just talk to people. Close staff members or family members, etc. They'd come down, and just stand and talk right at the bottom of the stairs...luckily this means I get the best view / closest to them. Whenever the girls came down, and they did a lot very often during the meal, I'd just be watching again, just like OMG... :L hahahah, even watching them stand around talk is so fascinating! I'm sure I dropped some food here and there XD.

Later toward the end of the meal, when all the artists were leaving, including SoShi, that's when the rest of the members said and bowed to everybody, "Thank you! You worked hard today!" While sitting I tried to bow again to all the members and tried to make sure they saw it (technically you're not supposed to bow while sitting, it's not polite, but the younger generation nowadays, we don't care). Tried to really savor this moment and get a good last look at all the girls. Taeng, Seo, Fany, Sica, Hyo, Soo, Yoong, Yul, Sunny.

It was about 2:00 AM? when we were done.

NOTE: Now skipping over "unrelated stuff" onto the next day, the 24th of October, Monday

***Ch. 12: Monday, Oct. 24th Fanmeet and MTV Iggy***

Finally got A LOT of sleep, much needed, whew. Monday morning, or Monday in general, I wasn't supposed to be working, I thought I was done. Checked out of my hotel, roamed NYC then went to stand in line with the other SONEs for the fanmeet. However, I got a call from my manager. Hahahaha what a surprise. She to GO, like seriously GO GO! and get food for the girls. This was at like....a little after noon, maybe 1:00 PM? This was when SoShi was doing the MTV Iggy interview. So I took a taxi, went down to Koreatown to get ddukboki (spicy rice cake) and kimbap for the girls. Lol while buying and carrying the food I was like, "This food is my mission. I will die for this food if I must for SoShi." lololol. I came back to the Viacom studio, but again, security and credential problems occurred. So me and the other staff were waiting inside the Viacom lobby with SoShi's food, waiting for another SM staff member to come and clear up that we were with them and let us in. However, this took a really long time. Eventually my manager and other SM staff members showed up, but they were like, can't let any more people in. Like literally, it was cramped as hell in there, can't fit more people. My manager was hoping to get us in so we could watch the interview and get to be with the girls. I just handed them the food. Anyway, at least I can say that I bought food for So Nyuh Shi Dae!

After leaving, I went back to the line for the fan meet. But the problem was, my bus was scheduled to leave at 6:30 PM. And the fanmeet was delayed already. Also, before leaving I would have to walk back to my hotel, get the luggage, then walk to the Megabus bus stop. Time...never enough time. After a long, long period of waiting, and after hours had passed, my group finally realized that they wouldn't be able to go to the fanmeet. I knew this even before I left for NYC when I saw that the bus was to depart at 6:30. So yeah, we were all bummed and pissed, sad. We all had to get home, some of us had school, and there wasn't any other way of getting back. So we had to do what we had to, couldn't go to the fanmeet. :'(

***Ch. 13 Looking Back***

So, in retrospect...looking back...this was the most EXHAUSTING thing I have ever done. I got maybe like 6 hours of sleep over the course of that weekend, working 50 hours or so on so little sleep. Ate like once a day...boy it was tiring. It was really frustrating not being able to express myself and tell these girls how much they mean to me and what they've given me in life. It was frustrating having to keep my mouth shut...oh well. Maybe another day.

ON THE OTHER HAND
This was the most REWARDING thing I have ever done. Cannot express that enough. I am SO GLAD I did this. ZERO REGRETS. None at all. Would I do this again? ABSOLUTELY, I would do this again.
I got SO MUCH out of this. More than just being a SONE, but there is so much more that I got out of this, on a higher level than just physical things...
This was truly an unforgettable, unbelievable, roller coaster ride experience...wow.

I did get a signed "The Boys" album

plus SMTown bag with all the goodies inside.
One little thing though...I do regret not breaking the rules a little (if you know what I mean). Ugh I am so stupid! There were so many opportunities I had to like...MAYBE ask for a picture with one of the girls, just really quick, or maybe get their autograph...especially at the restaurant, I mean we're all done working (sort of), we're all eating, chatting, chilling, it's a happy environment right? I'm sure it's nothing to them, just a quick picture, then we're done. Ugh, why didn't I?!?! I'm such a rule follower sleep.png

Thanks guys so much for reading all this, if you did lol, you are the best! If there's more stuff you want me to tell, maybe about other artists, or what more I did, or got out of it, just let me know. Questions, comments welcome as always lol.
Whew..boy this took a lot to write. lol I hope it was worth the read! If not, I'm sorry.

Thank you!
So Nyuh Shi Dae FIGHTING!! Himnaesaeyo!!!
