S.M. Entertainment has announced that Girls’ Generation’s new sub-unit, Girls’ Generation – Oh!GG, will release their single “Lil’ Touch” at 6 PM KST on September 5th. There also will be a b-side track, “Fermata”. For those who want a physical copy, a Kihno album will be available for pre-order on August 28th; Kihno purchases will count towards the Hanteo and Gaon album charts.

The sub-unit consists of Taeyeon, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona. “Girls’ Generation – Oh!GG” is a combination of the exclamation, “Oh!”, and the abbreviation for “Girls’ Generation”, meaning that the group will captivate global fans with the diverse style, music, and charms that various member combinations can show. “Oh!GG” is also reminiscent of the Korean word “오지다” (oh-ji-da), which means “skilled with no gaps”, and the birth of this name with a fun pronunciation was also rooted in the members’ opinions.
