Girls’ Generation’s “The Boys” music video recently broke the 100 million views mark on YouTube, making it the girls’ third music video to reach such an accomplishment. “Gee” was the group’s first music video to do so. “I Got A Boy“, which set records in its own right, also reached the same milestone this past July.
Girls’ Generation is the only K-Pop group to achieve the feat of having multiple music videos surpass 100 million views on YouTube. Also, “Gee”, “I Got A Boy”, and “The Boys” each currently rank fifth, seventh, and eighth overall respectively on YouTube’s all time “Most Viewed KPOP Music Videos” chart. “MR. TAXI” ranks tenth on the same list with 93 million views in total.

That’s what I always thought! I wonder why their Japanese MV didn’t get much love as their Korean MV (except Mr. Taxi). They have so many awesome Japanese singles.

p.s. i’ll never forget when i witness The Boys MV and promotions (from my computer screen that is). my very 1st kpop experience with comeback stages and everything that goes in the promotions. lawd i stay up almost 24/7 at the time trying to get 1st hand on what’s happening. oh the memories. i love you Soshi. :’D
