Yoona has been cast in the Korean-Chinese film, “Goodbye Ani”, playing the lead female role of “Ani”. This will be her first time on the big screen since her acting debut eight years prior. Yoona turned down the offer of being the female lead in KBS 2TV’s “Nodame Cantabile” in order to accept this upcoming movie role.
Taiwanese actor Eddie (Yuyan) Peng, who was the male lead in the Korean/Taiwanese crossover movie, “Scent of Love”, is in discussions to co-star with Yoona in “Goodbye Ani”. Filming for “Goodbye Ani”, which was deemed the project with the most potential for investment at the 2009 Shanghai International Film Festival, is set to begin later this year.

To be honest, i’m a bit sad that she had to turned down the nodame’s role, since the character would be challenging for her and i think it would prove to anybody that yoona can act well.
But it’s a movie btw. So it’s also a good chance for her.

Ahhh, finally to see Yoona in a big screen… Hope she did well and can get positive comeback, just like Yuri… I will definetely see this movie!
But, to be honest… As much as I highly anticipated for Yoona played in a movie, but to hear she must turn down the offer to be the female lead in “Nodame Cantabile”, it kidan irks me. Because Nodame Cantabile is one of my favourite story, and I really like the Japanese dorama of it, so it’s actually really interesting to see Yoona plays as Nodame because of the personality of the girl in that story. Beauty, gifted, yet messy and weird.
