On May 30th, the producers of SBS’s “Midnight TV Entertainment” revealed that Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun have been casted as MCs of the popular show to replace Seo Kyungsuk and Yoo Inah, who recently had their farewell episode.
A representative of the show expressed the reasons for the casting of the two MCs, revealing, “Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation has an excellent look which appeals to the public, is able to sing well, and is also good at narration. Sooyoung’s overflowing energy and charms will give a boost to ‘Midnight TV Entertainment.'” He added that after seeing Yoon Dohyun’s narration in “Law of The Jungle”, they picked him as he had confidence in speaking. Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun will be taking over as MCs from Seo Kyungsuk, who has held the position for seven years and one month.
In addition to her new position as an MC, Sooyoung is also currently filming for a new drama, “The 3rd Hospital”, which is scheduled to begin airing in July.
Sooyoung and Yoon Dohyun will make their first appearances as MCs on June 6th.
